Iron Maiden vocalist praises Gaga wanting to be the next, talks Madonna...

What he means is that Gaga has all the shock value (aka meat dress, as the example he mentioned, but also over the top outfits, catchy music, amazing videos, choreos...) but she can say she has an amazing voice. So... she has both sides, while others... don't.

And being a rockstar is more than singing rock.

And Gaga wasn't saying she was the next iron maiden because of their music. But lh well, that discussion was already made. Some just don't WANT to understand that.

Just keep on downgrading everything Gaga does and reducing her to a simple popstar who hasn't done anything for music or culture and has had zero impact. It is ok if you want to believe that (I don't see those legends praising other popstars from this generation but...). What I don't understand, and please, exuse me for that, is why someone would waste their time on a forum of someone who has zero artistic/cultural/impact value... I wouldn't be in a forum of someone who I thought that hasn't done anything... but yeah, cool.

hmm 20 members attacking 1 who is still on topic and has valid arguments (even tho i dont agree with him about a lot of artists having great vocals like gaga)

ggd in a nutshell

hmm if 20 people is "attacking"one maybe it's because that one's wrong. If you think everyone (20 members) are all delusional you might be the delusional one

You're in denial, I'm not going to waste any more time talking to someone as ignorant as yourself. If you've realized, this is GAGADAILY.

Did you even read what I said??? I never said you did it, other people on social media were blaming you and another member.

You our create that for yourself when you attack people. You always think that you're correct and can't accept that everyone doesn't agree with you.  Yes you rant. You bring up Madonna in every single thread, you created your own hell, which is soon going to lead into a ban.

Don't quote me after this. I'm so done with you and your crazy accusations :bye:

I'm not the one denying historical facts. Goodbye!

Not a simple pop star.

A talented pop star that hasn't contributed anything new to music.

Why does every thread about someone praising Gaga turn into a Madonna bashing thread? :green:

Madonna is Madonna, she's already a legend, and neither negative comments about her from other nor 10 pages on gagadaily will change that :toofunny:

I also have a feeling this topic will get locked very very soon

1. Who says he's wasting his time? You? That's too subjective to bring up as an argument.

2. He didn't say she had zero artistic/cultural impact. He actually said she had temporary impact on a large scale though it didn't set new rules or standards for the next generation(s) of performers, except her example of social media use which he named. That's not even negative, it's quite objective and since the only examples people can bring up in this thread are other celebrities using "weird" looks (for a while) I'd say it's at least right until proven wrong with good arguments which everyone seems to be avoiding, preferring personal attacks instead.

3. There's a huge misunderstanding (also about me) that stripping Gaga of imagined trophies equals wanting to downgrade her. While I agree that in some cases it's stupid to rain on people's parades when they like to think Gaga is the only pop star worth looking at today (which is not the case), when it's backed up with neutral arguments the real problem is the people who identify that style of argumentation (usually referring to verifiable facts instead of personal opinion) with negativity.

4. A forum has only one goal: discussing. So even if he absolutely hated Gaga, if he presented his opinion in a way that inspires civil discussion, it would be within the posting rules and he would have every right to be here. In this case, he doesn't hate Gaga, so these forum-related comments make their authors look like fools. This is not a fan site. You might want to read the posting rules again: negative opinions are allowed under the circumstances Jjang lives up to.

How about we let her build her empire on pop - as she originally intended to? What I take away from this is that pop is constantly shat on and seen as the "inferior genre" and it's sad.

if you want Pop to get respect than stop pop fans and pop radio from supporting ****ty Pop music.
