Becoming a minority in 'own country' is not and should not be a problem. It's also disgusting how letting migrants into the country is compared to systematically killing Jews with gas in concentration camps.

Agreed - providing the new majority is completely non-racist, non-bigoted, neutral between religions, and liberal-libertarian in policy. But that's a dubious assumption in this case.

The video makes the points that sometimes extremes end up the same. The extreme of ultra-nationalism leads to war and the destruction of other nationalities; the extreme demand of open borders in the name of multiculturalism might lead to some of the same. (For example, consider the Troubles from Protestant immigration into Catholic Ireland, or what happened in Bosnia, or how having a multi-ethnic state works for Shia, Sunni, and Kurds in Iraq.)

it worked fine or much better before American invasion, divide and conquer is what turned that country to chaos. Not multiculturalism.

There was trouble in Iraq before 2003. Saddam was invading Shiite Iran, and using poison gas to suppress the Kurds. It seems a strong brutal dictator was needed to keep a lid on things. In a similar but gentler way, Yugloslavia had Tito and Communism before 1989..

Iraq and Yugoslavia were both created after World War I, by foolish European powers who didn't realize that multi-ethnic states could spell trouble. Going back further, the Muslim minority was the result of Turkish conquest .. hence the comparison with Northern Ireland.

Historically, it's been hard enough for nations and religions to learn to keep the peace when they have separate countries, Making a multi-ethnic multi--religious state work is a higher level of difficulty.

thousands of Jews got kicked out of Syria. In fact saying that Israel didn't takes refugees is wrong. Israel took hundred of thousand Jews from those countries. 

I'm all for refugees but I see and understand Israels point of view. I never deny other people died. Yet the holocaust is the first genocide with systematic murder. There was nothing comparable. 

I'm sorry if I did offend someone, but I'm very stubborn on this refugee crisis for Israel. I understand why Israel is so picky. There are a lot of people in Israel who whish Israels dead who could easily get into it. Israel just has too many enemies. It's difficult who to trust and who not

I know and I partly agree with you.regarding the latter European countries could say the same especially regarding the terrorists attack that happen this year,  yet they came from.. Within I don't think terrorist would go through the hassle of pretending to be a refugee when you see the risks involved but that's another topic...

There was trouble, but never on this level. There are shiites who'd rather take Saddam back than live in that hell today. 

So you think each country should be ethnicaly pure with 1 major religion? Sounds familiar.

Or each sect withing religion should have own country? How does that work?

If people are primarily secular liberal individuals, multiculturalism can work.

The problem is that migrants come from civil wars, and civil war are caused by religious and ethnic extremism, the people from those areas tend to have values antithetical to secular liberal multi-culture. Maybe not all or even the majority - but enough to mess things up.

but Yugoslavia was secular, practising religion was almost forbidden, language and culture very similar or same, yet it turned into war and ethnic cleansing.

Germans criticizing Israel for not taking Syrian immigrants reminds me of this "Anti-Racist Hitler" video, where a seemingly reformed Hitler returns  ... but manages to destroy the Jews for good.

Isn't this the most hypocritical video? First of the fact that pretty much everyone is Insrael comes from...immigration and quite recent ones, some would even argue they have replaced Palestinian population already living there that are now a minority in their own country.

Plus I don't think having some  refugees will threaten Israel they are 9 millions but we don't ask them to take all Syria. Lebanon population is around 4 million, they have a million of Syrian refugees (I am only counting syrian here...) yet no one worries about them becoming a minority in their own country someday...
