Melech 9,900
It's funny how you use the same populist/xenophobic unity of the people/our own people first/etc arguments you often criticize. Also, I don't see how there can be a single 'Jewish standpoint' and don't understand why you bring that up as if there is a point of view all Jewish citizens share on this and as if all Israeli citizens are Jewish. Your arguments could also be used to defend Slovakia which only wants to allow Christian refugees (national unity, Slovak point of view, security, blah blah). It's also bad for the discussion how quickly you braught up the 'anti-semite!' and 'hidden anti-Israel agenda!'.lol. Your ancestors didnt got Killed due to their race. Of course you don't understand it. The Jewish angst is understandable. Israel is a safe place. Gonna reply to the other later. But I only have rarely Internet. But gonna look forward to a discussion. I think there are no people who gone through the same shiit as Jewish people. It's laughable how a gentile is saying that we are obsessed when you don't see numbers in the arm of your grandparents or that your grandparents tell you that you look like their dead brother. I am sorry Simon but you can't use personal stories as such, to defend politics from nowadays that have nothing to do whatsoever with the holocaust. if Syrian may hate Israel and its citizen or Jews it's because of the history between Syria and Israel, because if war but I doubt because they hate Jewish people so much and where buddies with Hitler. I empathize with you, I do, but honestly Jewish aren't the only population being victim of genocide, yet we should always be careful with that because we are gentile that can't get it. When you deny other people to have maybe suffered as much as your ancestors and not understand you are building a wall and they just give up trying communicating with you. mic 1,415
So no one is? craig 680
Yet they constantly try to get Jewish people to come and acquire citizenship?...Jews may need a safe haven even more, after the increase of Muslim immigration to Europe leads to a likely increase in Anti-Semitic hate crime. In fact saying that Israel didn't takes refugees is wrong. Israel took hundred of thousand Jews from those countries. I'm all for refugees but I see and understand Israels point of view. I never deny other people died. Yet the holocaust is the first genocide with systematic murder. There was nothing comparable. I'm sorry if I did offend someone, but I'm very stubborn on this refugee crisis for Israel. I understand why Israel is so picky. There are a lot of people in Israel who whish Israels dead who could easily get into it. Israel just has too many enemies. craig 680
Germans criticizing Israel for not taking Syrian immigrants reminds me of this "Anti-Racist Hitler" video, where a seemingly reformed Hitler returns ... but manages to destroy the Jews for good. Disgusting video just disgusting and shameful, and obviously with a racist and xenophobic agenda behind it. Multiculturalism means a lot of cultures, not sharia law. Israel already is quite a multicultural country. Becoming a minority in 'own country' is not and should not be a problem. It's also disgusting how letting migrants into the country is compared to systematically killing Jews with gas in concentration camps.
Woolfsmck 2,763
Israel can't do anything without some criticism.International governing body dictates that refugees from a military conflict have the right to flee harms way without obstruction. Its possible to misconstrue that mandate , meaning that Israel is in violation of international law. Since, some of the countries involved haven't acknowledge Israel as a country at all, its a difficult situation. Personally, I don't see any obligation on Israel's part other than that the refugee's in question are pure civilians but the concern that there are militants embedded with the fleeing groups is a legitimate for Israel's security and any nation who accepts them. like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still.
