Madonna's deal with Live Nation coming to an end

NYPost came with a rumor today that RebelHeartTour is the last under Madonna's deal with Live Nation

The curtain goes up on Madonna’s “Rebel Heart” tour on Wednesday, and those who have seen rehearsals at the Nassau Coliseum call it brilliant. That should come as no surprise considering what the Material Girl has riding on the 64-show global arena trek.

Her 10-year partnership with concert-promoter Live Nation expires in 2017, just nine months after she wraps up her third and final tour under the deal. And no one expects the soup-to-nuts 360 deal that guaranteed Madonna an unprecedented $120 million in 2007 to be renewed in its current incarnation.

“It’s now about selling a show for $500 a seat, obviously, and no longer about selling an album for $20,”

Do they think they'll negotiate for a lower price or for more? I can't imagine she'll go anywhere else, considering the amount of money she's making from her tours.

So what's going to happen to her after her deal ends

And what happened to Gags and Interscope situation? Where is she now :stalkga:

$500 a seat? I am sorry I don't care who you are I am not paying that much to see you.

she can either 1.) renew the contract and keep touring (Live Nations needs to agree on this) or look for someone else to promote her.

Gaga has a 5 album deal with interscope, she has done 3 (TF,BTW and AP) TFM was released as an EP so i dont think it counts (even though it is an album) and C2C was a duet album release in part from interscopes and from tony´s record lable so it didnt count. Gaga still has at least 1 more album before her contract ends. when it does end she can renew it again, or start her own lable like miley did (pay the album herself and then keep all the profits and promote herself without a lable to control her)

Gaga said herself this upcoming album is her 5th.

I'm sure many people would pay that - and more, even - to see a living legend also known as the queen of pop

Clearly you're wrong cause her shows are almost always sold out.

Exactly, it's sort of greedy. Especially not when we're in the state of crisis that the country is in.
