Pink Floyd are progressive and psychedelic rock :dies:

David Bowie is Experimental rock. :dies:

Applause & Fashion! aside (which are both non experimental by any means), there are no David Bowie resemblance at all.

:dies: :dies::dies:

The album is a bunch of fun EDM and R&B tinged pop songs, why can't you guys just accept that :lmao: The delusion is so real

Fashion! and Applause are the only songs that might be influenced by Bowie (from what I can personally hear), and they're both completely and utterly non experimental. If you have any other songs that can be compared to Bowie then go ahead and list them.

This post is almost ironic since you are here DISMISSIMG the opinions of the OP.

"ARTPOP is simply too conventional to be experimental." Let me clarify this. The songwriting, singing techniques, and instrumentation employed on ARTPOP are simply too conventional to be experimental. Now I have, without a doubt, acknowledged the thesis of Enigma's argument and disagreed with it.

I'm sorry if I haven't made myself clear with what I'm trying to say. I still haven't reduced anyone's argument to a simple case of delusion or hatred. Now that is being dismissive.

I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.

Its definitely not as experimental as FKA Twigs, etc., but, it is unique from most stuff that was on the radio at the time. At the time, ARTPOP wasn't really like anything her contemporaries released, and it certainly doesnt sound like anything she's released before, so it does need credit in that area.

Overall, ARTPOP is a good album. There are some weak tracks (and some even weaker ones), but as a whole, its really not bad. I know this is off topic but, I know I may seem like a harsh critic of ARTPOP, but, its only because I care about Gaga, because I want to see her improve and live up to those standards that she herself has raised through the years with her music. In the end, its still a good album that could have been a lot better had there not been so many setbacks and management issues :(

MJH...Applause...ARTPOP...Venus. The intro to Venus alone is enough.

Just a general reminder to please keep discussion on-topic and steer VERY clear from personal attacks and insults and all that bad stuff :wtf: This thread is on the brink of locking and a WP explosion if things go further downhill :deadbanana:

Thanks :sweat:
