PrinceGaga 7,585 Posted August 31, 2015 Share Posted August 31, 2015 Alright, look. Yes I am a little disappointed that Gaga didn't end up coming to the VMAs the other night. However, for this years VMAs I took to twitter and noticed that ALOT of users that weren't monsters, but Taylor Swift fans, Katy fans, Demi fans and many that seemed like personal accounts from the GP, etc were all saying how much they hoped that Gaga would arrive and that the VMAs NEEDED her. At first I was thinking that it would have been the most perfect thing for her to do, to surprise everyone there while everyone is thirsty for her. Everything was set up perfectly for assumptions to be made that she may have been performing. Insider twitter accounts, Gaga tweeting about ARTPOP "tonight", her choreographer posting on instagram about the Applause performance, etc. It was the PERFECT set up for a bit of question surrounding a surprise appearance. Once these things happened, I then saw countless tweets from GP in particular, saying how amazing it would be for her to come, how it really might happen and that's so exciting, 'omg was that a confirmation?? she's the surprise performance?? YAY!' kind of thing. Gaga still said nothing, no tweets, no nothing.Now what happens when Gaga does not turn up is... instead of her arriving in a flawless dress and slaying a performance and making her the most memorable for another year, she ignores it (because let's face it, Applause and G.U.Y were snubbed totally), she let's everyone dehydrate like nothing else. People leave the VMAs thinking wow... that was kinda disappointing for this reason, this, this, and because Gaga didn't turn up. They get this idea in the head that Gaga is incredibly special (which she is) and valuable (which she is) to the music industry and that the #VMAsAreNothingWithoutGaga (which trended worldwide by the way). Obviously claiming Gaga is a genius for this might be a bit of a reach since she either planned to ignore, but tease something. Or she just randomly posted about ARTPOP to acknowledge her baby and then watch TV with Taylor and Asia completely ignoring the hype and thirst surrounding her. The point that I'm saying, whether Gaga planned for this to happen, or it happened by accident, it STILL happened and is happening. In my opinion, I think it was a brilliant move for Gaga to not attend because now, many people realise how important she really is and how much they miss her. Yes I would have loved to see her slay a performance and yes I would have loved to see her in a killer vintage McQueen like old times but not attending is a BIGGER statement. Even if it was unintentional. Less is more! Less is more... (Obviously Beyonce and Rihanna attending would have been good as well, but I thought I would share just Gaga's side as this is a Gaga's forum. The fact that she is compared by the GP to these other women is a huge leap though). I just woke up so this might seem a bit illiterate sorry. I guess they sort of thought they were better off without during ARTPOP cause they had other acts to rely on for pop hits and shock factor. But now that's getting hard for artists to creatively break free something Gaga does so well the Gp miss her. I know i kinda went off topic but yeah the world needs Gaga ASAP , especially at this time (where the direction of the music industry isn't solid even the GP is confused on what they should sallow and what they should reject).
