RCA her record label has released a statement that they support her (prob cause they got bought out) and this does not count towards her record numbers with RCA. SO there will be something better for all you people that are hating on it. I for one LOVE IT. GO MILEY! its the perfect fan album for the fans. I wish Gaga would do this. I hate to inject Gaga into this but i think she yet again has inspired someone to do their own creative work. I am proud of Miley for taking a risk. Music not the bling! It does sound less polished than her past stuff but there are strong elements of honesty to the songs (as i'm listening to them now) it may not be anything top 40 esk but I like it for those moments in life where you can relate to songs like these. Even the cover art has ARTPOP written all over it.Interscope got in the way I think. ANYWAY...this album is amazing. I'm her age and all of her feelings and lyrics make sense to me. She clearly did it to rain on Taylor's parade seeing as Wildest Dreams was getting released at the same time (now, this I can totally get behind) and to make her look greedy for being anti-streaming (this I can 100% get behind). But as usual, she has to present herself in such a trashy way that isn't a true representation of her work. From what I've heard so far of the album, it sounds very different from the Dooo It and therefore, using this as the song to represent the album is totally the wrong decision. It would have been far more shocking to just wear jeans and a t shirt and sing one of the ballads acapella. But no, she had to wear tacky outfits where she's practically naked and do a performance where she looks like she's deranged and the typical child star gone off the rails. It's difficult to take an artist seriously when all they do is rely on shock value to sell. Bangerz was actually pretty good but it was a shame she let the good parts be overshadowed by her nasty antics, meaning her talent wasn't shown. This album sounds like an absolute mess so far. Her diction is terrible, the beats and lyrics are basic, most of it is utterly boring. No wonder her label didn't want anything to do with this. I know art is subjective and all, but seriously...there's no art here. It's just Miley pretending she's deep and putting down her weed diary in the studio. Just because something's different doesn't make it good. Some of you saying that this is the type of music Gaga wanted to make with ARTPOP...Gaga actually wants her audience to understand her, so I doubt that. ARTPOP is a conjunction of art and pop, so by you saying pop is on the back burner, that's implying the album is exclusively art (which...pff.) But anyway, the concept of ARTPOP played simply on the duality of the two terminologies, and both that album and this one failed at achieving the endgame of that concept.
