That's why its best to stay away from these areas especially if you don't know your surroundings and you're by yourself. You're just asking for trouble. And white people have come into black neighborhoods and burned down churches, murdered innocent people, and even more hateful things. And many of these people were/are lawyers, doctors, and "respectable" people. So maybe that's the answer to your question.
