I don't think it's some master plan to get the love of the GP. I do think it's part of a plan to show the breadth of what she can do and expand her horizons doing things she loves. Maybe that leads to live from the GP, maybe not, but I don't think getting the love of GP is the underlying reason for all this. 

yeah,its true that her ultimate motto isnt to get  public love and appreciation...as someone said here earlier she's doing what she loves and if it helps her in changing her image or makes her more relatable to them, then its a good thing

to be fair, when you look at it apart from fan speculation, what she's been doing is what she's wanted to do (mostly). She sang at the Oscars and showed off her vocal skills during a time where that's all she wanted to do (she's said she was happy to tour with tony because it gave her a chance to focus on SINGING). In the recent EW interview, she said she's enjoying AHS because it's what she wants to do right now, where she feels she belongs (her words about fitting in w the cast, not mine). So in a sense, her passions are realigned with commercial success. Win/win. 

All that being said, I completely understand what you're saying. 

(Please don't take this as an attack on your opinion, your post just got me thinking and I wanted to write those ideas down). 

I actually agree I especially like how she recently said that she's focusing on one project at a time so she can give her all. I'm mostly opposed to fans interpreting all of this as winning over the GP again and that somehow being ok. I've just really been missing an era where fans could enjoy what's happening without adding a "omg they love her again!" layer to everything.

I hope that her passions will stay aligned with (possible) commercial profit.

well, everyone has their own definition of being a fan.some fans would Yaasss all day standing outside her hotel/apartment, and some other fans hate it and find it cringeworthy.You can't expect everyone to think or behave in a same manner.i think i'm one of those fans who care about her music and her public image,chart success as well.

If u're waiting for an era where her fans would be here just for her music ,and wouldn't care about GP or chart success then i'm afraid,u're going to be disappointed cuz its never going to happen.and i don't see any problem in it.

I mean do you really think she wants to return to her TFM dark side just for music or art ? Of course not. She knows it's how people like her to be. She'll have the music AND the bling. Like she had both in the past. I don't find it bad to have both sucess and great music.

If those are all lies made in a state of pretension (which you and monketsharona said, not me) it's not looking very good for her status.

When you're saying she actually cares about money and success you uproot all of her era's conceptually. And since those concepts are supposed to be what makes Gaga so unique, the artist that is Lady Gaga is left as just another pop star.

i don't know about other fans but i never said that she's better cuz of her artistic quality or her message etc...i didn't even know about such things(Pop culture) until last year when i became more active on this forum...
