Katy Perry's Taylor Swift Diss Track "Crocodile Tears"

Katy Perry is finally responding to Taylor Swift with her very own revenge song, according to several U.K. news outlets. It looks like the “Dark Horse” singer is finally going to come clean about their alleged feud, which has been covered by the media for almost a year.

Several British news outlets are reporting that Katy Perry is going to release her own diss track with Diplo as the producer. Perry teamed up with the producer over their “joint hatred of Taylor Swift,” according to a report via Sugarscape. The alleged song in question is called “Crocodile Tears.”

Another source told the British tabloid the Sun that Katy knew Diplo would be the perfect man to produce the song. He infamously slammed Taylor Swift’s booty (or lack thereof) on Twitter. It’s been reported via the Inquisitr that the Major Lazer producer has a borderline obsession with the good-girl singer. After partying with Swift at the 2015 Grammys, he changed his Twitter handle to “Taylor Spliff.”

“Katy knew Diplo would be the man to produce Crocodile Tears for her and has now registered it. So far she’s been very restrained with what she’s said about Taylor in public but is now ready to put her side across via the song — which is all about being fake.”

Fans have been wondering if Perry would release the diss track on her upcoming album. The insider says that it’s unclear whether or not it will be on Perry’s fourth studio album.

“It isn’t yet known whether it would be released as a one-off or as part of Katy’s fourth album, but she is keen for fans to hear it.”

This isn’t the first time that a Taylor Swift diss track has made the rumor mill. It was previously assumed that Katy Perry registered the song “1984” to major music publisher BMI.

Katy Perry’s management team spoke to Billboard, calling the rumors “completely false.”

“Katy Perry’s managers at Direct Management Group confirm that this story is completely false. Katy Perry was not involved in writing, singing, recording or registering this song.”

This also isn’t the first time that the Sun has lied about a diss track. Back in January 2015, it was assumed that Perry would perform “She’s So Creepy” at the Super Bowl Halftime Show, which was allegedly written about an unspecified pop star. The report claimed that the song was registered, along with “In Flames” and “Heartache Crusader.” But, of course, Perry never performed the alleged diss track at the Super Bowl. Instead, she performed a medley of her hits like “California Gurls” and “I Kissed A Girl.”

However, Katy did tease to Billboard earlier this year that she would share her side of the story when the time is right.

“If somebody is going to defame my character, you’re going to hear about it.”

The new reports about “Crocodile Tears” could be just another rumor at the moment. All fans know is that Katy Perry’s working on her new album as she bids farewell to the Prism era. The singer shared a photo on Instagram with the word “bye” on her middle finger underneath a rainbow light. That’s a hint to fans that Perry’s working on her new album.

That hasn’t stopped some from wondering if she will address the Taylor Swift feud on her new album. She has been seen in the studio making music, but it’s not for her new album. Katy was making some Christmas music. It looks like she’s getting into the holiday spirit, even if it’s still summertime. It is time for Katy to speak out about the subject, even though she’s been coy about it on social media.

havent people realised yet? Gaga's working HARD on her album. But she wants to keep things secretive (she told that to my friends backstage last year too)

Just because she isnt posting 10000000000 studio pics and adding the albums name to the end of every tweet and instagram selfie it doesnt mean she isnt hard at work :toofunny:

The purpose of a forum is to discuss. This is the entertainment section. There are Katy fans here, there are Taylor fans here, there are fans of both here, and there are people who are fans of neither that find these types of things interesting. I'm a very casual fan of both so of course I think it's worthy of my attention. :emma:

I know, I was just joking :teehee: I'm also pretty sure the album is more advanced that we think. Even if it's probably put aside for the weeks / months she'll work on AHS...
