What if Gaga were black?

What do you think would be different?

Would she be as successful?

Would her artistic message be taken seriously?

Would she still have been compared to Madonna?

Would the fanbase be shadier/more defensive?

Would she be more supportive of racial issues than gay/bullying ones?

Would you like her more or less?

Brilliant question. I don't think she would be as successful and she would be compared to Beyonce all the time.

You can tell she had the world on her hand at that time. I can imagine the backlash if she used that 'tan' now

She would be looked on even more negatively by the press? :rip:

Nicki would definitely be told she was copying Gaga in the Pink Friday era?

A lot of things would be different TBH

It would have been harder for her to become more successful but then again it depends if she's dark or light. Light skinned black women like Rihanna and Beyonce have more privilege and opportunities than darker skin black women so it depends on her shade since the media (at least in America) are judgmental in that way. She would have the same personality but I think she will tackle more race issues while still focusing on gay rights activism. With how shallow minded america is, they would have compared her to Patti Labelle (a legend who is black that wore crazier outfits than gaga during the 70s and 80s). I would still love her because the color of her skin doesn't matter to me. It's the heart and soul she has and Gaga's imperfections are what make her so vulnerable yet so humane and honest.

Bad Monster Kid

Beyoncé would have denied Gagas illuminati membership application thus she would never have become the worlds largest pop star.

I think this fanbase would all be black and we'd be compared to the beyhive instead of madonna

Like we would change our Skin Colour? Or we wouldn't be fans?!
