46% of Canada Government spending (Federal + Provincial) goes towards healthcare. it is the biggest financial burden the Country carries. Healthcare costs Canada more annually than education, infrastructure and military combined.

New findings point the biggest thing straining healthcare costs besides old age is no longer tabbacco but over-weight problems particularly obesity.

47% of Canadians are overweight (55% of those over 25). The Province with the highest proportion is New Brunswick with 51% of population over-weight and the lowest is in British Columbia at 39%.

:omg: I have nothing against obese people, but the fact that over half the population is obese is ridiculous. People are so unhealthy and so inactive, and I really hope this modern day lifestyle becomes healthier.

Born To Slay

And still songs about being proud of being fat become hits :smh:

I refuse to buy those songs and publicly bash them and the artists whenever possible.

i go there all the time. sometimes i swear im just gonna buy a coffee and i end up getting their snacks... sometimes a whole meal :rip:

my area of the city especially is saturated in fast food. within 1km (like 0.7 miles) of my house theres literally:

- 2 mcdonalds

- 1 wendys

- 1 burger king

- 2 subways

- Taco bell

- 1 mr sub

- 1 pizzza pizza

- 1 pizza hut

- 1 starbucks

- 20 to 30 independant non-chain fast food places

So i cannot resist. theres plazas with fast food west, east and south of me like 5m walk

well for some ppl its not easy. Im a skinny guy but i eat so much crap and fatty foods. Now ive finally cut down on that and increased carbs and protein and have been working out at gym with a buddy to maximize results...

I managed ti gain 10 pounds only and remain skinny. Clearly genetics is playig a role here. If i struggle so much to gain, maybe some ppl have genetics that makes it hard to not be chuncky???

Even now deapite my reductions i still eat tones of junk food (im working on cutting down some more) but i never get crap judgment just cause im lucky to not gain weight but im not any better than those "fat people" just because i got skinny genes

Of course habits are bad. Too much ppl eat garbage (myself included). But then who gains weight and doesnt will partially be determined by genes. I eat more calories than many of my friends who are bigger than me :rip:

McdonLds was bought by Americans and they started the chain. But the first Mcdonalds was opened in Toronto so we played a role in the plague. U dot have to take all credit (or blame) :P
