I enjoy it more personally :teehee:

ARTPOP -> Born This Way -> The Fame Monster -> The Fame

Basically, I think Gaga has improved with every single album

It's hard to compare because of the quantitative difference it has but I believe that if you got the best 8 tracks from ARTPOP and compared it to TFM, then they'd be very very close in terms of quality. The only reason I'd pick TFM is because BR tips the scale in it's favor but other then that, they're pretty close. I'd even say that ARTPOP has better lyrics than TFM.

they are way different between each other, people should stop saying one album is better than the other.

They're so different :duck:

I just prefer ARTPOP because it's longer, but I have no idea if it's "better". I guess I'm gonna say no, the songwriting and production was stronger on TFM.

Wow, I'm exactly the same. Sometimes I can't decide which one I like better. There are times when I think ARTPOP is just so much better but then I re-listen to TFM and I retract.

You have some really good points in the OP, but I don't see her ever topping The Fame Monster for me even though ARTPOP is very good.

TFM > TF > BTW > AP

The Fame Monster, unlike the eras and albums that came after it, felt very thought out. From the simple but effective cover, to the amazing (and rather dark) pop songs, everything felt so polished. You can honestly tell how the good the albums are by their covers tbh. Born This Way was a bit messier (the cringey motorcycle cover and the even worse font/text effects). ARTPOP was  a true mess of a cover. The sculpture was nice, but who ever did the cover wasted it's potential. Wouldn't be surprised if Gaga herself designed the cover.

Actually there's a lot of truth to this lol. Of course some might say the quality of the album art is irrespective of the quality of the album, but the messy artworks for BTW and AP do represent the way her management and direction started to tailspin from 2011-2013, which effected the music as well, and those are the two albus with comparitvely unprofessional mixing and mastering, rushed productions, and communication breakdowns during the recording and finalization processes (AP especially).

The ARTPOP cover was done very last minute and was designed by Gaga and Jeff Koons. It actually had potential to be great but it looks really, really unprofessional, the Gaga "sculpture" looks like it was pasted onto the background using MS paint, and the colors are somehow completely washed out and way too intense at the same time, the whole thing clashes and is an eyesore.

Anyway, I'm sure LG5 will have some great artwork lol

She's got both handsIn her pocket
And she won't look at you (won't look at you)
She hides true love
En su bolsillo
She's got a halo around her finger
Around you

She's not broken
She's just a baby
But her boyfriend's like her dad
Just like a dad
And all those flames that
Burned before him
Now he's gotta firefight
Gotta cool the bad

---------------------

I wanna be the girl under you (oh yeah)
I wanna be your G.U.Y. (yeah)
I wanna be the grave and earth you (oh yeah)
Our s-x doesn't tell us no lies

Touch me, touch me, don't be sweet
Love me, love me, please retweet
Let me be the girl under you that makes you cry

-------------------------------------------

I asked my girlfriend if she'd seen you round before
She mumbled something while we got down on the floor baby
We might've ****ed not really sure, don't quite recall
But something tells me that I've seen him, yeah

I wanna Just Dance
But he took me home instead
Uh oh! There was a monster in my bed
We french kissed on a subway train
He tore my clothes right off

He ate my heart then he ate my brain
Uh oh uh oh
(I love that girl)
(Wanna talk to her, she's hot as hell)

---------------------------------------------

I know, I know, I know, I know you want me
You're just a pig inside a human body
Squealer, squealer, squealer, you're so disgusting
You're just a pig inside...
Do you? I know, I know, I know you want me
You're just a pig inside a human body
Squealer, squealer, squealer, you're so disgusting
You're just a pig inside...

Be that hog sweat it out, you squealer? (let your body jiggle)
Slap her skin–he love to watch her ass go wiggle (it's the feel of ecstasy)

weakest song on tfm lyricly is telephone

rest of it is great

Okay okay... You win. But I'm my opinion the weakest one is Retro, Dance, Freak

We've had millions of threads like this and the concensus is always that ARTPOP is her least good solo album. Like the second post says BTW>TFM>TF>ARTPOP. Black point.

Can you please stop trying to make ARTPOP happen... it didn't happen in 2013/14, it won't happen now!

ARTPOP to me always sounds unfinished. If Gags worked on it a bit more, and polished the production it would have probably been her best work.

She worked on it for 2 and a half years. :what:

I personally enjoy ARTPOP more than The Fame Monster, but I'm not sure if it's necessarily better. For me, TFM has like 1 masterpiece, 4 fantastic songs and 3 average songs. AP has no masterpieces, 5 fantastic songs and 10 average to sub-par songs. I guess TFM wins, as it has Gaga's magnum opus (Bad Romance) and fewer average songs compared to AP.

But still, I find myself enjoying AP a lot more than TFM. Maybe it's because it's still relatively fresh... but I think it has more to do with the fact that I relate to the concept behind ARTPOP more than TFM.

I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!
