Gaga slayed, I'm very pleased with her acting and she looks so s-xy and hot in that 4some scene

but the show itself is just..... :emma: I would never ever watch it if there wasn't gaga in it :emma:

I just watched it and I must say it beats freak show so far! The hotel looks so creepy and characters are nice. Gaga is great most of the time, especially everything connected with the s-x scene :slay: the only average acting moment was when she was talking with that kid and leading him/her (?) to her children playroom. She talks with deep voice often, sounds little bit like Jessica to me at times - did you also see that?

I never watch horror movies or series. Never watched AHS. I always thought that horror movies are made to frighten and disturb you and I don't like to be frightened and disturbed, so I never watched these types of movies. However, as a Gaga fan I decided to watch this episode of AHS. I wanted to only watch Gaga's parts, because I was interested in her acting, but couldn't find only her parts so I watched the whole thing. So, I will review the episode from an inexperienced horror movie viewer's point of view. Have in mind that I'm not mainly talk about Gaga, but the AHS as a whole project.
First of all, I've heard a lot of people say how frightening this was. How disturbed and impressed people were. When watching the episode I didn't feel like that at all. The episode left me unamused and I was not shocked at all. In my eyes, all scenes felt so empty and fake. I felt like I was watching a horror movie parody made in 1950's not in 2015. Those blood scenes were overdone. You can not just spill 5 litres of fake blood on a bed and expect it to have a big effect. More blood doesn't mean more horror. It just means more fakeness to me. Drill rape scene? Come on, the scene does not even need my comments. The whole hotel atmosphere doesn't make me scared at all. It was not scary at all? Body in mattress? Not scary. The girl and those disemboweled men? Well, it surely would be scary for a girl, but not for a grown up person. I should have been frightened to death having in mind that I never watch horror movies. The only thing that made want to close my eyes during the whole episode was when the characters used needle to inject d--gs and it's simply because I was always scared of needle getting into the vein. But it has nothing to do with the horror movie and it's purpose to scare me. You can see this during the news in the middle of the day. However, I think I like the whole idea of a scary hotel. Liked the soundtrack. It made the episode a little bit more pleasant and enjoyable.
Now let me talk about Gaga's part in this episode. I like her character and I think that Gaga brings intrigue to the whole show. I enjoyed her mysterious persona. Her poses, facial expressions were on point. She was captivating and intriguing. Good job! Loved her whole look, her clothes were amazing, she really looked impressive in all the scenes. However, some of the scenes in which she had to talk were not believable enough to me. I do get her accent, there was nothing wrong there. I simply didn't like her intonation. It did seem like she was acting, which is not acceptable. Actor's job is to be as much believable and real as possible. I do hope that she will improve and surprise me in all of her talking scenes.
All in all, the whole episode didn't make me interested, amused, didn't entertain me or scared me. Horror movies may simply not be my thing. However, I like the whole idea of the series and hope that it will improve. Gaga's acting was very good and with some slight improvement she could be brilliant.

There you have it. My review. I tried my best to be respectful and as positive as possible. No bad intentions, only a subjective opinion. Have a nice day.

I sure expect to see more from it. I'm intrigued to see the relationship between the characters in the Hotel. I wanna see more about The Countess taking the children and how Matt Bommer's character became another vampire.

Really loved the "Your boy has a jawline for days" scene with that retro Gaga fashion.

However, the writing still feels a bit weak to me. Hope they can solve it out for the rest of the season, unlike Freakshow. Can't wait to see Angela Basset & the rest of the cast.

If I had to grade it, the episode is around a 7 or so. Let's hope it gets better though or it will become boring very soon.

-Also I watched it without subtitles so I'll rewatch it later and maybe I'll change my mind for the worse or the better-

theres an odd satisfaction to know that a show i really love is too much for some to handle to the point where they need to turn it off.

OT: it was ok but i know i remember some parts that weren't that great. gaga was s-xy tho :pumpkat: i'll try and write more about it later

I disapprove of what you say, but will defend to the death your right to say it.

WOW, Gaga did an incredible job acting. I am already obsessed with this season!!! Loved the bald man in Drag, kathy Bates and of course GAGA-  This is honestly one of my favourite episodes so far. excited- so happy I could Die. So proud of Ryan Murphy/ all the cast. It's like an old school horror themed movie in a modern age. The bloody violent gore, orgies, A grotesque addiction s-x monster, creepy Children, Vampires and fabulous fashion in a creepy retro hotel.  Give me the thing that I love- AMERICAN HORROR STORY #Slay They lived up to all the hype,Delivered and served it to us on a silver platter with our jaws dropped on the ground while giving us a shocking orgasmic cum shot of Ryan Murphy's sick mind. I am in love and ready for more! do what U want. Bury me #DEAD

I didn't think she was that good.... there are moments she has of brilliance but I do think she could have been better at times

Gaga was okay, but I'm not overwhelmed by her. Just like in Sin City she stares to much in her dialogue and I didn't believe what she said. I hope she gets better in the next episodes though. The rest of the cast did a brilliant job as usual!

All I can do is wish Gaga luck in the rest of the season because I won't be watching another second of that...

Sorry Gaga, I love you but this is something I cannot stomach or have in my subconscious

I feel you, I wish I was more into horror s-x and disgusting splatter gore, but I'm not - guess I'm way too sensitive regarding violent images and scenes haha, I'm disturbed for life.
