craig 680
http://www.kisw.com/pages/21829089.phpThis weekend the largest and saddest concert (if you don't mind sullying the word concert) is coming to CenturyLink Field. That's right, the field the Seahawks dominate is falling victim to teenage oppression. It's true that Taylor keeps the money train rolling with her bubblegum music thanks to our misguided radio brethren. But we're giving you a weekend your grandchildren will be proud of. It will be as legendary as the No Justin Bieber Weekend, as classic as the No Kanye West Weekend, and as fondly remembered as the No Katy Perry Weekend. Even better, this will go down in history as a national holiday. We'll be playing more No Taylor Swift than any other station in Seattle, in the country, and hell, in the whole world. You might say, 'But you don't play Taylor Swift at all." That's right. And now we'll play her even less. Double shots of No Taylor Swift, 10 in a row of No Taylor Swift, and A-Z No Taylor Swift are coming your way this weekend. We've got none of all of it! And it's 100% guaranteed to make the Northwest, and the planet, a better place.Sincerely,KISW Management

2007 5,291
Who cares, it's a rock station, it's not like ppl tune in to their station for some Taylor swift unless they're full of ****, which they are either way.

InsideOutright 1,118
The opposite of payola. Can we have radio stations boasting "No Maroon 5" and "No Katy Perry" too, please? One of my local stations is the complete opposite of this. 106.7 Lite FM in New York City boasts that they play at least one Taylor song every hour and they call themselves "New York's #1 Taylor Swift Station". LoveandMagic 1,731
A rock station that makes a habit of playing no [insert well known pop artist here] is A) assuming their listeners don't listen to pop (and likely any music that isn't some form of rock) which makes them kind of closed minded, and B) using her name (and Katy, Justin, etc) for publicity, making it almost like they need the publicity. Here's a thought: how about just playing great rock music, and advertising THAT? If you're a station only popular for what you WON'T play, what kind of rep do you really have? Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
CannaeDrive 3,412
I might come out of my radio black out and begin to listening to radio again if there are more stations like these. "Fame Is A Boomerang" - Maria Callas
Guest
Wow, they are so cool. Honestly, just play her or don't. No need to make it all special.
Oyemiamor 40
This just appeals to stupid people. If it is truly a rock station it wouldn't play Taylor to begin with. So basically you are playing into their hands by buying into this and choosing to listen to their stations lol........ Marketing always gets the stupid people.....
