Rock, some kind of modern jazz, maybe even more non-mainstream electronic music..? She can do it all and she'll be just fine. I'm pretty sure that in the long run, her career would look quite glorious. They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be. She's still going to be around so no it's not make or break. The Fame was the make or break album and she already MADE IT. She has a record deal. She tours. She records. She is Lady Gaga. Her music is iconic, she's a fashion symbol, she's an actress, she's a philanthropist, she has millions of views on YouTube... her fawking dog is a celebrity which is currently modeling for COACH. There may be others with bad taste but there are more who have better taste in what they see when it comes down to what is most important, the talent.
