I'm no technician or whatsoever, but I think this is purely done on lazyness or purpose. Doing something like this should be heavily calculated and prepared. Voor hetzelfde geld wonen er vrienden/familieleden op de plaats waar die kranen vielen of iets dergelijks. En zelfs als dat niet zo is, het volkomen logisch om in een dergelijke situatie een paniekaanval te hebben. (translation in the spoilers, I don't like talking Dutch on an English forum ) You don't know the woman's side of the story... Perhaps she had friends/family living in the buildings where the crane's crashed, or something similar.
