Hmmm.....the missing songs, probably. I understand she can't have a, like, 24 track album but I really wanted to hear Sire, Onion Girl, Amy, Temple, Tea, Princess Die, Brooklyn Nights, Ratchet, and Red Flame  

I wish the studio version of I Wanna Be With You would have been released too

I used to always bash people for being hung up on Swine Fest, but if she had kept the Swine Fest versions of the songs, the album would just be even better.

Outside of the album itself, my only real complaint about the era is the lack of a DWUW video. I would be content with only Applause, DWUW, and G.U.Y. as singles, but not having a video for DWUW just makes everything involving the era feel really incomplete.

As time has gone by I find myself skipping more songs on the album. Its not shade, its just a fact. Can't pinpoint why yet though. I can still listen through The Fame, The Fame Monster and Born This Way in full so idk what it is. The songs I don't skip on ARTPOP are Aura, G.U.Y., Do What U Want, ARTPOP, Donatella, Gypsy and Applause. I used to LOVE Swine, but now I don't. Perhaps its more about me getting older and my tastes changing and less of a reflection on the album though.

i listened to the album again today for the first time in a while. I didn't really like a lot of the songs. they're mostly noisy songs with no real direction. It sounds like a reflection of her life in that time.

The most glaring issues are really the piss-poor mixing/mastering on almost every track (DWUW and Applause excluded), the lack of cohesion and lyrical resonance, and the fact that some songs had sloppy last minute changes.

Aside from that it does it's job fine, it lacks the perfectionism, conceptualism and forward-thinking nature of her best work but it was never going to be some deep, masterful record, nor was it intended to be. Unfortunately it was one of the most unjustly overhyped albums of all time by both Gaga and her fans, leading to it getting way more a--lysis and criticism than it was worthy of when it really should have just dropped out of the blue with few expectations.

I see a lot of hate towards the album; however, I want to say something that I really liked about this era. I don't have a lot of money personally and I felt as if this era was almost for the monsters who didn't. Her album was cheaper than her older ones, my artRAVE ticket was only a hundred dollars, which isn't bad for getting right up in front of the stage.

Like this era had a lots of ups and downs, BUT it allowed those who couldn't afford the ultimate experience of seeing the great Lady in concert a time of their own.

The only thing that was extremely expensive was meet and greets which I hope get flexible soon too! Would love to meet her.

 

The tracks on this record have a lot of adrenaline in them which to some is a no no. I think that was just a way from her to distract herself from her sorrows. Now; years later, she's happy which in my opinion will relieve the amount of adrenaline and will make her music jaw dropping again!

that was on purpose. gaga herself stated she made her team make everything cheaper because she wanted to give the opportunity for all the fans, and thats why she made the ARTPOP zone so expensive. those 2000 dollar tickets were meant for the high class but the rest of the tickets were more or less accessible

if your talking about the era itself its that, she didnt get to do as many singles and videos as she wanted to, and the dwuw video not being released

but if your talking about the album, the song ARTPOP is boring trash and, no.
