Not because she was stereotypically weird or goth looking... it's because she was that one girl who was just... kind of annoying and over the top. She's not naturally a popular girl. She didn't use instagram that frequently to begin with and then #HipGate2k13 happened and she had that complete social media blackout till the ARTPOP era started. The era literally DIED after Marry The Night video got released and she waited ages to announce the tour dates, went into hibernation after new years eve and only came out for the grammys.
