Riot Poof 2,236
I listened to Cheek to Cheek two or three times and then I knew that jazz just wasn't for me. I don't need other Little Monsters or music snobs to tell me otherwise. We can RESPECT an artistic choice, but we don't have to LIKE it. It just isn't worth it to fake-like something when there are a lot of things you can genuinely like instead. I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand. VforVendetta 2,024
I am dissapointed from you Sokka. Seriously though it's ok, I get what you say. It is expected for many pop fans to dislike the Tour, it's classical Jazz.
Wolf 1,328
We all have our preferences, and jazz isn't one of yours. Glad you still went to the show. Give gaga dem coins
Katie14 4,828
Its not a high energy party or "ball" like Gaga's other tours have been. Its more like going to see an orchestra play. Both types of concerts can be great but one is wonderful because it pumps up your adrenaline and the other is wonderful because its relaxing and a chance to let the music shine first.Im sorry you were disappointed.Have you been watching videos from the show? If so, have you been enjoying them?
Dunk96 2,526
I went to the show in Vegas and it was an amazing show. Normally I'm not at all into jazz, but Gaga and Tony did an amazing job. They both were vocally on point 100% all night. I don't know why you would've expected a spectacle out of jazz music, but to each their own.
Zilla 13,384
Honestly, I was a bit disappointed at the beginning of the show in the sense that all Gaga was doing was tiptoeing on and off stage for her costume changes, but when she was on stage, she was great. Minus the parts where her voice was obviously strained (again no shade whatsoever, we all go through stuff).I think going in, it's hard to accept that it's Tony's show when we are so used to seeing Gaga as the main focus. When I say that, at Radio City it was mostly older Tony fans and said fans talking about Gaga at the Oscars or her other media apperances. I was like "here we go, more people bashing Gaga for this or that". Luckily I had friends there but there weren't as many monsters as Bennett-ites. But, as the show started and Tony started singing Sinatra and Charlie Chaplin, I finally fully understood how great Tony is. I mean I always respected him but seeing him live, I got it. I can see how that was hard for a monster to digest, but to me the both of them were absolutely amazing together and Tony is a legend. He slayed me more than she did (and that's not being shady it's truth at least in my opinion sorry). It can go both ways, like you either like it or you don't. It feels like this era is dragging but at least we have signs that another era is coming, right? So it's fine if not everyone gets it. You shouldn't be crucified for having an honest negative opinion. 𝙸'𝚖 𝚊 𝚓𝚘𝚛𝚝𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚓𝚎𝚕𝚕𝚢 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚎𝚜 𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚍 𝚘𝚏 𝚐𝚒𝚛𝚕.
giskardsb 12,565
Part of the reason it's mostly Tony is logistics.... They wanted fans to get their money's worth with show length and Gaga obviously doesn't have as many solo songs worked out as Tony does.

Judas Oyster 1,915
omg, people are actually bombarding you and it's just an opinion, what is wrong with u guys? Anyway, sorry u didn't love it, I would have felt the same. Next time you should just try to find out earlier if u truly liked the jazz songs or nah. I haven't even listened to all of the songs in the album, because I know I ain't gonna be listening to it, so I would never go to the tour either (unless it was for free) :P But good that you tried at least tho' yeah :)

mucinex 4,260
you gotta find the right crowd next time, look for groups of gay twinks twerking to it don't mean a thing and you're set, did you go alone? maybe that's why?
Bradley 59,115
omg you have no idea how I much I want to see her. I have to fly across the globe to see her and even if it's jazz I would still do it.I get that not everyone is into jazz but you just need to know that there's a reason why Cheek to Cheek and its tour are critically acclaimed. This genre exists for a reason and I'm not blaming you for not getting it, I just hope you understand why Gaga does it.
aaronyoji 2,054
if gaga serving great vocals for two hours without strobe lights and tentacle outfits (as much as i love that stuff) is unbearable to you maybe you should grow up? or get a better attention span? idk....
