This is true, and isn't it true for Phoenix as well?

My question is, why does he think all illegal immigrants come from Mexico? I've heard a good chunk come from South America, Asia, and the Middle East as well. Or does he just lump all dark skinned/non-caucasion people together?

You forgot eastern Europe, Ireland, Portugal, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, ... and ... and ... and...  Mexicans make up the largest single group however, and many central American's are lumped together with the "Mexican" immigrant label.

Texas is one of the richest states and is extremely important for the US economy. The Port of Galveston near Houston is one of the largest ports in the nation and that's where a large part of the petroleum industry is located. That would be a disastrous move :rip:

Also, Houston hold the largest medical center in the world. People from around the globe come here to get treatment. Texas is a necessity for this country. Don't let the stereotypes blind you.

#1 Texas is one of the richest States :rip:

#2 The Economy is Southern US is growing faster than Northern US

#3 Letting Texas leave and a bounch if other States would shrink the US economy so much it would no longer be the reserve currency, have less perceived safety despite high debt, and cause all kinds of havok. The rest of the US would not benefit frim that

#4 regarding what the person u replied to said, the US would never invade Mexico because Mexico is the 3rd largest trading partner with America after Canada and China so damaging relations with Mexico would seriously harm the US economy

It wasn't very serious :rip: I was just pissed at the conservative guy.

Pay and pride clash for Latino workers at Trump golf course

It's messed up what he said about Mexicans because they came over here to do a decent job, just like everybody else," said Garcia, who is of Dominican descent. "Just because they're Mexican, it doesn't mean that they came over here to sell d--gs or kill people."

"I'm not a killer, I'm not a d--g dealer," said a 17-year-old Ferry Point greeter from a Puerto Rican and Dominican background, who asked not to be named. "I'm a student about to go to college and have a successful career."

Oh, forgive me then. Wasn't there a big Cuban migration to the States in the 70's? It was following a civil war I think, but has there been a big enough stream since then?

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Cubans come to Miami pretty regularly... I'm not sure about the total numbers tho...

I thought travel between Cuba and the US was heavily, heavily regulated though. I know there was a big trade embargo for awhile, but I don't know if that effected migration.

Because Obama gave all our tax money and jobs to them so he could win the '12 election.

The come in boats of coarse, not all get thru, but a few.  Plus there are flights.  They can go to Mexico, then crossed to the U.S.  Regulations make it much harder.  This issue with the Mexicans is that the U.S. border doesn't stop much at all.

What? :awkney:

And I wouldn't let poll numbers scare you (At least not until summer of 2016) because this always fluctuates. In 2011 Michelle Bachmann won the Iowa Straw Poll* and we all know how that turned out :emma:

Then we could have oil from Mexico and not the Middle East

People who are not educated on a subject, should not make comments.

The top 5 sources of oil for the U.S. actually come from the US itself, Canada, Mexico, Venezuela, and Nigeria. U.S. dependence on ME oil is diminishing.

also

Come here legally or not at all tbh

That's true... However, the U.S. is the largest single 'customer' for crude oil...several times more than the second biggest, China.  So while the U.S. is steering its business away from the Middle East while supplying more of its own oil, this leaves a lot of supply availability for other customers in the Middle East.   The over all demand vs. supply is what really matters.

My guess is that when 2016 campaigns begin to kick into gear, he'll rise! No one is really that concerned atm. Even I, someone who is VERY active politically, haven't taken any polls.

You know, if he does manage to split the democrats, all that will happen is that Republicans will take the election.

tbh, I don't care either way.
