The reason radios don't play Gaga

Applause and DWUW were playing 24/7 here. I remember Applause was constantly winning those top spots so they would play the winner song once per every hour. So amazing.

well our countres always support big popstars. I think even Judas was #1 here.

Gaga songs used to get played during her first two albums by the Twin Cities, MN 101.3 KDWB because the current person in charge of the playlist was fair, actually played the Top 40, and didn't have a chip on her shoulder about Gaga. They even had a Gaga interview during her Fame era, I believe. 

Then a new girl started and things changed. 

During Gaga's Born This Way era, there were only TWO "Top 10" songs that got played, literally, TWO times or LESS (Nick's a super nerd who watches these things, love him) and one of them was...A Gaga song.

I believe there were even BTW songs that other hit stations played frequently that KDWB couldn't be bothered with.

When it came time for her concerts, they gave her NO promo. They played like a pre-recorded thing whenever they literally HAD to, and any time Gaga came up in conversation they either moved on quickly or bashed her. 

It might also be worth mentioning that this new girl is a HUGE Katy fan. She went to all of her shows, would bring her up in conversation, played her Top 40 hits to death, always spoke positive about her, shared her news on the show, and while she refused to play Gaga songs that made it into the Top 10, she would play lesser known Katy songs. Shady as ****.

And it's sad because during TFM Saint Paul was a city that had to have TWO Monster Ball shows in our arena that sits ~20,000 if I'm not mistaken. Saint Paul was where she sang "Living on the Radio," it's where she received Gaga Daily's fan projects. And that's the city that ended up shading her. ****ing disgusting.

I don't listen to the radio a lot, I usually just play my songs on my phone.  But I listen to KDWB sometimes.  I heard Applause once or twice (although others I talked to here said they heard it too) and I never once heard DWUW and of course never heard G.U.Y.  It seems like other regions at least heard DWUW on their stations.  And this being said l heard Dark Horse every single time I turned on KDWB and even started to feel like Birthday was getting overplayed.  I repeat Birthday... felt overplayed to me.  

Feeling disappointed at realizing all of this in context.

I don't hear Bad Romance as much as JD or PF but it's up there

Havent heard telephone since 2011 but the video is iconic so whatever

I was on vacation in PA and at my summer home we have a radio and I always listen to the pop station (they have a large listener base) and they played Applause twice, DWUW once, Telephone and Poker Face in weeks time.

DWUW went top 10 and KDWB only played it on the weekend countdown sessions (where they weren't in control of the playlist). It was pathetic.

Because I think its true tho. Where am I wrong? In 4 years we got only 3 singles. And By saying a decent pop songs I mean a song good lyrics and great production, a perfectly written song. And since 2011 Gaga has not delivered one.  Applause- weird lyrics( thats what made the radios not to play it), GUY- old production with not relatable lyrics. Only DWUW comes close

For me it's always gonna be BTW the album's fault, cause she alienated the public with some of those bad songs on there  plus, the overexposure and "be yourself" everywhere she went, it started to be annoying at some point
