I think her next record will be Edith Piaf inspired. 

ARTPOP was supposed to be  Ratchet sampled an Edith Piaf song and Gaga described the original ARTPOP single sounding like "Edith Piaf singing a pop song!" but that was before Applause was chosen so it was probably a scrapped song.
