ChasingGhosts 726
The Australian Government passed the Border Force Protection Act, this puts medical professionals and those who work with children on Nauru or Manus Island in bizarre circumstances. Nicole 1,809
I find it bizarre that the media is only picking up on this now when in fact whistleblowers of child abuse in detention centres have been inquired into for a while now. It's absolutely disgusting and I hope those working with asylum seekers fight for this following their open letter. Tony Abbott has a picture of a white, rich Australia and nobody can ****ing deny it. His treatment towards asylum seekers (children as young as three have been diagnose with mental disorders equivalent to people who are hospitalised due to mental illness), his treatment towards the Aboriginal communities (forced closure of their communities because apparently practicing your culture such is living in rural communities is a lifestyle choice), his stance on gay marriage and his ridiculous counter terrorism laws - he is stripping the rights away from everybody in this country who does not contribute to his idea of an Australian and it's atrocious. Didymus 34,380
Horrible. Like, how can a group of people even agree with that? I'm fascinated that both the government and the opposition backed it.

Elizabeth 750
The current government is truly despicable. I know labor was in a mess at the time of the election, but I still don't understand how voters believed Tony Abbott would be the answer. It disturbs me to think that a group of people in charge of leading this country have come together and agreed that this is acceptable and the right way to do things.
