No. Gaga's pop music is much different from the kind that he creates. She's above it. Plus, how desperate would she look running to a producer known for being a hit machine after ARTPOP.

Not here for it.

People are being so negative about it. If they make a good song together then why not? Most of Gaga's pop music might be different/better than typical pop music but she did release Donatella

Max Martin doesn't excite me in any way. He's behind many iconic hits, but most of his material just blends into pop white noise nothingness. I feel like I'm in the minority in that I hated Bang Bang, and found Blank Space's production to be dull, it's charm is in it's lyrics IMO.

LIke, I wouldn't be angry about it, but I just feel very meh about him. I feel like a lot (not all) fans want her to work with him because they think she'll get a giant hit out of it. Also, I don't dislike the idea for ~pretentious~ reasons, I think some of us just want to see Gaga make great, interesting music that stands out from the rest, and Max Martin doesn't particularly seem like it would be a step in that direction.

No! Gaga has made her career working with interesting producers on creative sounds that do not mimic Top 40 radio trends.

Not you not mentioning all the bops & the flawless even the best pop songs that ever existed that he made for Britney. :awkney:

I don't understand the hate for Donatella, it is an amazing song...

Yes, please. I am always amazed at what magical wonders he has done the last 15 years to pop music. We all know that Gaga will do most of the work if they ever work together. He will just polish the sound and make it better. Don't act like you don't want it.

Just imagine her next album full of RedOne and Max Martin songs :legend:

Max Martin made some of the greatest songs of my childhood (Backstreet Boys and Britney Spears) and I'm 100% here for a bit of collaboration between them, just so long as they don't make super basic music a la Katy Patra.

It doesn't matter who the producer is, we all know they work differently with Gaga. Sure every producer has a different style, but comparing songs produced by RedOne for other singers like Jennifer Lopez and Nicki Minaj to those with Gaga, they're on different levels.

Same goes for Max Martin. If Gaga ever works with him, it's going to be a different sound than what he usually does with all those people you mentioned. She has more input during the process and actually knows how to produce herself, and that is why she can shift a producer's mind to help her make what she wants, not the opposite.

Do you hear that? It's poison.

No, as I ultimately think his style doesn't suit Gaga. Max is great at making songs for young artists, like 25 and younger. So many of his songs are focused on partying, drinking, acting wild, stuff that young people do. His biggest hits were sung by Britney, Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson, Taylor Swift, etc, all of whom were/are 25 or younger. Yes, the likes of Pink and Katy Perry have gone on to have had hits or work produced by him when older than this but the point is, they'd had success with him before hitting their late 20's too. He's just known to be a producer you work with when you're young. Gaga's approaching 30, so working with someone like him would make her songs sound a lot more immature and give the impression that she hasn't grown much. You don't avoid Max your entire career and then start working with him when you're almost 30. It would look really desperate.

Yes, and those who say no are just art-obsessed pretentious fans who care more about Gaga being seen a certain kind of way rather than actually getting good music. Remember, she has many "generic trash" songs like Just Dance and Starstruck. Gaga just brainwashed her way too obsessed fans into thinking that being different is the main thing to aspire to.

"Brainwashed"? Wow. You know, there's being critical, then there's reaching a point where it doesn't sound like you don't even like the Gaga. Then there's the total blanket insult of everyone that doesn't seem in unanimous agreement with you by name calling. Most of the disagreement here seems to be about whether they can mesh sonically or if what they produced would even sound like a Gaga song. I've seen near unanimous support for songs like "Just Dance" and "Starstruck", lots of people here want something "radio friendly", but since it's Gaga they also want something a little edgy or artsy or with a bit of humor too, or anything else that might let the song stand out as a "Gaga" song, and they are worried that a highly successful producer like Max, who is most well known for working with artists that have certain sounds, might make a Gaga song sound too similar to Katy or whomever. Others have been respectful and pointed out that Max works well with his artists, so that Gaga can put her own spin on whatever they produce, so there may be no need for those concerns and that it could be a very positive direction.

Good god. Can people not disagree on this board without insulting everyone that doesn't share their ****ing opinion? And making personal attacks on the artist herself? Wow. Just Wow.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
