Electric Phire 98
Okay, so I write music myself and love songs with key changes, but I've noticed that not one of Gaga's albums (not including Fashion of His Love on the Deluxe Version of Born This Way) includes a song with a key change. First off, for those that don't know what a key change is, it is when the key of a song modulates to another key. The song becomes either higher or lower in pitch all together. For me, this is a little weird because Gaga definitely seems like the kind of songwriter that would include at least one song with a key change on maybe every other album with all the 80's and 70's influences and classical influences. I was just wondering if anybody has had or does have any thoughts on this concept. Why do you think Gaga doesn't have any key changes and will she have some in the future? VTV 12,833
i noticed that too. but in FOHL (Fernando Garibay Remix), Garibay removed the key change. i wonder if its her labels choice or just coincidence that she doesnt have it
ARTPOPisaChoice 946
I love them too! It's a great way to add emphasis on a part of the song or change things up if the song is getting repetitive (which can be the case for some Gaga songs). I think she should utilize them in the nest album, especially if it's more rock-inspired. Hands up to the sky 🌧 I’ll be your galaxy 🌌
TimisaMonster 31,073
Gaga does this slightly in Aura, Judas, Bad Romance, Telephone, etc...The final chorus will sound the same except Gaga adds higher pitched background vocals to emphasize it Stream my new single, đź’ś"Heartbeat"đź’ś, on Spotify! She adds ad libs, starts on the 4th and such, but never an actual key change.
FameHungry 146
I've wondered that too at some point. Maybe she might do one in the next album?
