Is Scheiße lucky that it wasn't a single?

Born To Slay

It seems every time a song under performs or flops, it's looked back on poorly. Scheiße was by far the fan favorite and everyone wanted it to be a single, same with GUY before release. I think that Scheiße should consider it's self lucky, it was a single because it would have flopped after MTN killed the era.

I still love G.U.Y, too bad most of this fanbase only like a song because of its charting. Scheisse was lucky tbh.

Some people wanted Americano as a single too :giggle:

I'm happy with the single choices for BTW.

They chose the songs that actually had a chance of fitting the Top 40 format.

No one is here for German gibberish and electronic sounds (the radio at the time)

but it would have been cool to be a single regardless. That song could have been Gaga's first actual experimental single and hearing it on the radio would have been amazing.

Every 6th single from a very successful album could underperform because everybody already bought it.

Scheiße still slays though

I always thought GUY was one of the most meh songs on ARTPOP :MANiCURE: But answering the question, for me it wouldn't lost its magic (hence MTN is still my favorite song ever) but for the chart freaks it would be an issue :awkney:

I don't know why anyone would let a chart position change their views on a song's quality but okay.

I just wanted Scheisse to be a single because a video would have slayed with the team she had around her at the time.

If people are actually letting chart performance affect their opinion of a song....:rip:.

Scheibe is an excellent amazing experimental track, but I'm convinced it would have done poorly has a single.

I'm also of the opinion that BTW had great singles. Hair was the only single worthy track left.

You guys wouldn't believe the amount of people that used to act like MTN was the second coming of Jesus and after it flopped they now act like they never really liked the song

Mister Gaga

BTW singles were perfect. Sheibe would have flopped harder than Pretty Girls

Oh, I've seen it, my friend. They're also the kind of people I ignore :dies:

If you need a chart number to like or dislike something, you're not really enjoying music, in my opinion.

Marry The Night is a great single idk why people don't believe it, it is on the same level as The Edge Of Glory i feel like, i can see people putting it one level under but just because it flopped doesn't mean its at all bad. Marry The Night was originally where The Edge Of Glory was right? wasn't that the original plan as a promo/third single.

Schieße would either hit or miss cuz it all depends on timing. Kinda like how single 5 from 1989 will be, i think they shouldn't have one personally.

EDIT: This post is all over the place :deadbanana:

Marry the Night was first meant to be the LEAD single at some point (then they decided to change to BTW obvs). Then it was meant to be the third single but then Judas flopped and TEOG was slaying as a promo single so they rushed it.

Bad Bromance

I love Schieße so much but I don't know if it would have done well with the German gibberish, tbh.  Radio may not have played it very much because of that.  I'm thinking, however, that if she released it and it flopped, we'd have a beautiful video a la VMA promo video or a la Fame perfume promo video.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.
