Yes definitely. We dont know what type of rape it was, but based on what she said, i think it was coerced rape. This type can be extremely confusing for victims.

It makes me sad that she seems to have a lot of shame about what happened. She was the one being taken advantage of but since she technically allowed it to happen, she didnt realize she was raped.

Yeah its sad that she even had to go through that at only 19 or 20 too. I think she was aware of it at the time in 2006 but then she decided to not talk about it because like she said during howard stern, she didn't want that awful time to "define" her because if she would have talked about it during the fame to born this way era, it would have distracted people from her work and she just wanted people to focus only on her music and art. She's more vulnerable and open now but you can tell she still doesn't want to talk about it much because then it would go all over the news and such hence why she never exposed the guy because then instead of people focusing on her tour with tony or her next album, the media will only focus on the guy who raped her and it'll be talked about for months or even years and knowing Gaga she just wants to focus on her happy life that she's living in now.

I don't think it's about her getting physically raped or choked,  I think it's about her nights as a go go dancer/stripper,  feeling nervous and a little frightened about all these men telling her to touch them and putting their hands on her, but knowing she needs to be s-xy for them anyways. Maybe some feelings about needing to be s-xy for creepy producers and record label reps too,  "She can't breathe when you speak"  makes me think the person she is referring to has more power than her and she gets nervous when they are around out of a desire for them to like her

My old cat is a tough man, but i cant deny the way he bites my hand and he stabs me, he grabs me by my heart <3

The first time she ever hinted about having a traumatic past was an interview from 2011. The interviewer asked her if she went through anything traumatic. Gaga said that she did but didn't want to say what it was. She said (paraphrasing), "Everything traumatic that I went through I caused to myself or was caused by people around me while I was being irresponsible and outrageous on a journey to f*ck myself up like Bowie or Worhol". So I think she blamed herself for a while and really didn't fully understand or realize what happened to her until years later.
