Don't know if you're really a conservative, but that doesn't matter.You have to accept that there is a difference between Israel and Jews. Boycotting Israeli products does not make one an anti-semite. Saying that the Israeli state is racist/colonialist (which it is) does not make one an anti-semite. My political views are all over the map on different issues. Your second paragraph is true in theory, but the left still has double standards on who it calls out for bigotry. There is an Islamic terrorist incident in Canada, - mainstream media devotes a whole lot of attention to the danger of Islamophobic backlash and makes a big deal about some grafitti on a mosque (which the wider community helps them clean off). Maybe every time Israeli govt. does something controversial they need to spin it the same way,and devote attention to minor aniti-semitic incidents (which IMO aren't reported as much).The percent of people with a negative opinion on some group matters less than who is willing to use actual violence and harassment in the name of bigotry.
