People see terrorist attacks from extremists and media pumps up fear. To make it clear, I'm not trying to excuse or promote islamophobia, I just see where it comes from.With anti semitism I just don't understand. I know that a lot of people are against Israel, but I just wouldn't think people would be so filled with hate to that level. I haven't heard about any extreme jews attacking the US or Canada. Surely people know that's not true though I mean it's such a horrible statement that's so easy to disprove.I have heard about other stereotypes though. Yes, they are child murderes and they drink children blood. My mum is Jewish and already heard them all When she moved to Germany and gone to school here, the teacher wouldn't let her on the toilet because she were jewish once. I think it started because Christians blamed Judas for killing Jesus? At least that was the reason for Erasmus to (in the 16th century!) already have a big hate for Jews.It's mainly transformed into Islamophobia but I think that a rising muslim population and big TV shows like South Park (where Cartman often says 'stupid jew!' for example) have led to antisemitism being way less of a taboo than it was before. Many radical leftists have defined Israel as the bad guys and as racist/colonialist, and called for boycotts, and said intemperate things.Our Conservative PM is a great supporter of Israel.. This is probably because they have always been a minority and therefore stay as a community everywhere pretty much so it arouse suspicion... It's just so strange to me, I don't know what is going on.It's very simple. Israel plays a major role in the instability of the Middle East. For more than 6 decades, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a constant source of terrorism, hate, wars etc. not only there but all over Europe, Africa and Asia. People are tired of that. People want peace which can't be achieved given the current Israeli politics. So the rise of antisemitism is quite normal. If you have a country, a state whose politicians think they could do whatever they want with hundreds of thousands of innocent Palestinian victims, with hundreds of thousands of innocent Israeli people..then these are the consequences. And i'm sure the antisemitism wave will rise even more. And it's only Israeli's government fault. Too bad, they don't think about the millions of Israeli people around the world who suffer because of inadequate, cruel and narrow-minded political decisions.
