I've gone from being closeted and afraid of who I was to being in a relationship with the sweetest guy in the world, and at the same time, step by step, America has progressed towards Marriage Equality. This is going to be in the history books, this is going to be in every civics class as a landmark case towards equality. In 20 years, I'm going to be sending my children to school knowing that they're going to know that people fought for this cause, that it wasn't easy but it was done.
