tomsches 17,399
I seriously think it won't be huge at all. Sales will be like ARTPOP, if not less
boyerased 2,886
If Gaga has the attitude she had during the Fame & Fame Monster days ("Who wants to be #2", "I am inspired to write hit songs"), it can be big. Gaga knows what she's doing, she just needs to set her mind in the right place.This. Back then she will kill just to be on top. I get it, she wants to make authentic songs. But she also wants it to transcend generations and be influential. One way to do that is make a song that people will instantly love and easily understand, which she can but unfortunately these past few years she didn't do. Gaga knows what she's doing, she just needs to set her mind in the right place.why is there an assumption with many fans that "the right place" is commercial sales and hits? Gaga is not the same person she was then, she likely has completely different goals for her career now.

Whispering 18,865
sis what make you think so? I believe the same. The music industry sucks and is getting worse by the day! The only artists who have a shot at huge sales are Rap artists or artists that appeal to tweens, little girls and their mommies. That's who buys albums. Gaga doesn't appeal to these groups. She has a more narrow group to draw from and she draws from a group that is less likely to buy their music. Also, Gaga is polarizing. Many pop artists aren't. Their music and everything about them is designed and manufactured to be the least offensive product available. Gaga couldn't be more different from that and that impacts her general appeal, as well. Enhsa 2,043
The music isn't as important as how it's presented. She now knows she can be s-xy like the Grammy red carpet, vocally stunning and visually subtle like the Oscars and utterly unpredictable like at the European Games. She will need an easily digested song with subtle metaphors (poker face) rather than blatant half metaphors (Venus). Personally, I think the one thing left is to nail a classical piano solo on a huge platform like the VMAs where people will see it. Then we have Jesus. Bobby is smart. Artist nation is great. I'd love for them to have been making huge plans all this time to get Gaga radio deals, sponsorship deals, endorsements, award show slots, chat show slots... hell pay for a YouTube ad and force the lead single to number 1 via streams. Dope was top 10, imagine if it had radio, sales and a music video to boot. I'd love for her to rebuild her live reputation by blowing up festivals again, just kill it. Her pop return has potential to be huge.

AlbiCalderone 234
How could anyone ask Gaga to not make her "artsy" stuff, like her mini-films or the crazy performances, that's what she is and that's what she loves to do, she is an ARTIST, she's not a basic popstar trying to sell her ass to get on top of the charts. Does it really matter if she's selling 20M copies or 1M copies? Didn't we all love ARTPOP anyway? Even tho I'm pretty sure her comeback will be kinda big cuz she is rebuilding her image for the general people, I really hope she still does her long ass music videos and her crazy ass performances with puke all over her and blood and crosses all over the screens. That's how we fell in love with her, that's how she got famous, being the GAGA we all know is underneath the LADY.
Riot Poof 2,236
I can't say I know how big Gaga's comeback will be... but I hope it'll be the era that solidifies her legacy. I want people 20 years from now to point to the upcoming era and talk about how iconic and influential it was. I want Gaga to shine above the rest in the best way possible, whatever that may be. I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I am something that you'll never understand.
GANGIE 5,420
We cannot predict that. Do you Remember last time when Gaga was supposed to slay everyone in the industry with ARTPOP? Yes, I remember that too and it still hurts.... TONIGHT I WON'T WEAR MY DISGUISE
Brad 2,473
I honestly can't believe people on here want her to sacrifice her artistry for chart positions.Little Managers are the worst. Y'all ain't ever happy. What's bad is the majority of y'all calling ARTPOP "a flop/too artsy fartsy/unrelateable" are the same ones who were blowing up twitter, facebook, insta, and other pop forums with "GET READY FOR ARTPOP! ARTPOP 2013! GAGA'S COMING FOR YOUR FAVES!" and running around painting your faces while wearing your bed sheets as a cloak.Messy messy messy. Some of us actually clung onto Gaga because she didn't care about charting. The isn't the norm and that's what we love about her. She's even said herself that she don't care about charting, as long as one person believes in her, she'll be making music from her basement in her parents house. Of course, I paraphrased that, but you get the idea.Sometimes, I'm honestly embarrassed to be in the fanbase. ɪ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ᴛᴏ ᴋɴᴏᴡ ʟᴏᴠᴇ / ɪ ᴡᴀɴᴛ ᴛᴏ ᴋɴᴏᴡ ᴡʜᴀᴛ ɪᴛ ꜰᴇᴇʟꜱ ʟɪᴋᴇ
StarstruckIllusion 52,777
tbh, i think unless she has a really big lead single like Oscar performance so ppl talk about her, if not she probably get the same number as ARTPOP!! i hope shehas at least 4 hits for LG5 esp work with redone.... I was just thinking how this year for Gaga is kind of reminding me of 2013 for Beyonce...she spent the year not promoting new music, but promoting herself and building her reputation up, getting people back on her side. thought? oh **** yasss. That comparison just made me fully understand. I'm hyped up for #LG5 more than ever now. Imagine if she ACTUALLY pulls a beyonce ???
