it seems like some of you are afraid of gaga's rock and roll attitude

I am pretentious because I look for quality and longevity? If gaga keeps making dance music she won't last. If fall out boy made various versions of sugar we're going down, they'd be a nobody  nobody would care about them. If panic made multiple albums like their first one, they'd be boring. Sorry I want my faves to switch things up.

"Swear to shake it up If you swear to listen. Still so young and desperate for attention"- panic at the disco

Honestly, after reading the thread, most fans are here for a rock-influenced album, so what's with all the hassle? You sound too opinionated for anyone to support your argument, though. :/

And throughout your posts you are really eager to convince us that making rock music will make Gaga more artistic than she already is, and that in general rock music = high quality.... :duck: I get the feeling that the only way a musician can prove he/she has a real talent is by doing rock music. What the heck?! :messga:

Lady Gaga is very knowledgeable when it comes to rock music, both because she's always been a fan and because when she met Starlight, she introduced Gaga to the world of rock and metal, a world Gaga fell in love with. Gaga knows rock and what works, I think we all need to have more faith in Gaga.

No offence but do you listen to other rock music than just Panic at the Disco? They only do one type of rock, there is a huge umbrella under the rock category I would be glad to see Gaga do ranging from Queen's to Alanis Morissette's to Celine Dion's soft rock to electrorock like her own Electric Chapel to the Ramones to The Killers to The Darkness to Neon Lights to Janis Joplin to P!nk and Avril Lavigne, Simple Plan, Marianas Trench to Kiss, Warrant, Def Leppard and Aerosmith, even more metal rock like Judas Priest and Anthrax.

People hear the word rock and it freaks them out because they are only familiar with one idea of what rock music is and don't realize so many of the biggest songs ever that they've heard and like are in fact rock.

i like panic, fob, lennon, beatles, Judas Priest, mcr, acdc, iron Maiden, and many more

I don't think ZombieAphrodite is hassling anyone, I think he's just passionate about rock and wants Gaga to explore other avenues, its been 7 years of pop and dance music, it would be refreshing to hear something like rock music from Gaga, which we know she is very passionate about; she always sites rock singers and bands like Bowie, Freddie + Queen as inspiration and has sited Linda Perry as a huge songwriting inspiration. Gaga has said pop music is hard for her, and genres like jazz and rock come easier to her. I find rock music is of not a higher quality but rather has more longevity. rock music from the 70s and 80s still carry through these days, it's an immortal sound, rock has immense longevity, which pop doesn't most of the time, it's why it's called pop in the first place - because pop music is popular, it's music that's popular for a small time.

I find Rock artists, like Country artists, to be much more authentic and less manufactured and overproduced than pop stars. Popstars often tend to follow a stereotype rather than being themselves.

You are kidding, right? Ever heard of the hat acts in Country? The more current Country artists are part of the "good ole boys" club. They wear baseball hats, in place of cowboy hats and sing bout the summertime, girls in tight jeans, pick-up trucks and beer. They are the epitome of following a stereotype.

but Michael Jackson didn't make songs like applause. Do any of his songs sound like gaga's music?

i would love for her to make more contemporary rock. Like green day or panic tbh. Pop punk. Her rock album could be ARTPOP punk. The part 2 to ARTPOP lol. Just look at holiday by green day. It has a melodious chorus. It's not just random screaming. It seems like some of you think rock music is just blood curdling screams when it's not. That's called screamo

I really don't care

All I want from her is an outstanding album, mindblowing videos and lots of promo

I don't care what sound she will have for the most part (unless it's rap :saladga: )

im here to call out the fans for wanting her to do dance music until she dies. Pop music is not a genre. It's an idea. Popular music right now ranges from fall out boy to Katy perry.

Exactly. I believe Gagas 'mission' is to change people's idea of pop music. She never really did purely dance music, she has always made pop music. And that pop music of hers is influenced by everything she loves, whether it's heavy metal, hiphop, edm, classical, jazz, RnB, disco, reggae, gospel, trap....everything is possible.

It would be fun if she did more projects like C2C that focus on one genre, for example a rock album with all the legends or maybe even a colab with hiphop and RnB artists. Maybe she'll write a rockopera like Tommy by the Who like Linda Perry wanted Gaga to do. She might do a album with kids music. Or an acoustic one with just ballads...endless possibilities.

People need to stop restricting her, you've picked the wrong girl to stan for if you don't understand and respect her versatility.

According to Gaga I'm a ****ing rad bitch

I think what makes me fear more is your egotistical attitude. You seem like a person who is afraid of gaga's pop star tendencies and stemming from this insecurity you have to call out those who like her as a pop star, in order to boost your ego. Pathetic and cowardice.

I wish I had more likes! Rock music is a very broad category like pop. She'd do well in many, many of these styles. But her attitude has always been rock since before (and during) The Fame. Now that her voice has progressed it would be fun to see her tackle these different forms. Hopefully she will at some point.

Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
