Economy 49,820
Telephone is pretty much my least favourite Gaga song.. And I still can't like that video.. An absolutely meaningless continuation of Paparazzi, a video that actually had some meaning behind it. They just ruinted it. I still feel like Telephone is just a shameless promotion of Beyonce, and nothing more. It doesn't even fit the album. At all. music can have different components to it not everything has to be really deep and symbolic... sometimes something catchy and superficial can be appreciated too... why not? It's just not my thing, that's it, really.. But you know, everybody are free to enjoy whatever they want after all.. They say it's the last song. They don't know us, you see. It's only the last song if we let it be.
Hauser 1,262
When I watch Telephone nowadays I love it, I never thought of it as lackluster, if anything I thought it was too much, but watching it now is so great because it is such an extravaganza that is not present in music videos from Gaga's contemporaries. I miss the boldness of that video.
Sister 9,907
I just watched this video again the other night, after a very long time and I honestly think that it has aged well and makes Gaga look really good and creative. When I first heard the album, Telephone was the song that I did not like and I thought that it sounded like it did not fit with the rest of the album and that it sounded like it should have been a song by Britney Spears. I later learned that Gaga had written it for Spears and that Spears just didn't use it and so, Gaga just decided to. That made sense to me.When the video premiered and I watched it and loved it and with a little time, it actually made me start to love the song. Now, it is not my favorite song or video by Gaga, but I do now adore it because of the video. The future's uncertain and the end is always near.
