I love how this isn't about being against hijabs, just that women should have a choice to wear them or not

I personally think that headscarves are an oppression of the freedom of woman in general ,but as long as they want it, they can do whatever they want

It's beautiful, and these women are so brave for risking arrest to stand up to the government.

Also, am I the only one that thought of Hair while watching this video?

It's quite normal to not wear a headscarf in Iran...

Stop saying Iran is such an ultraconservative country... its conservative, but as you can see in this video not everybody takes wearing headscarves that seriously or does it

Or you should do some research?!

They need to wear headscarves. It's law and woman who don't wear one can be ruled against. Especially in bigger cities (like in the video) woman test how far they can show their hair. Though it's illegal.

They consider it the same as wearing underwear and a bikini, I guess. Not oppression in my opinion, eventhough it limits the freedom of people.

I hope they get their freedom as soon as possible , i don't know if it's likely :saladga: I have no idea about Iran other than the news i hear about women/gay men to be honest .

It's worth mentioning that it's not only done by countries , it can also be family/society. When it's family/society , it doesn't matter what country you are in/the laws , To be pressured to cover your head is painful and hard.

I was gonna post a little story about it but it got out of control and became a novel :emma: so i'm just gonna save that as a note if i need to write something like that in the future :laughga:
