Omg imagine if she does get 5 #1's with Prism i'll kill myself, she would have truly proved herself to be the Queen of pop tbh

Am I missing something with this?

The Telegraph, a prestigious broadsheet news publication in the UK just gave this album a five star review. That's usually reserved for the best albums. Like, award winning, Grammy/Mercury Prize bait.

Personally, I think the album's juvenile, safe and boring. There's a few decent highlights but the rest is fairly disappointing. Katy's usually fantastic.

Why the surprise?

The lyrics are really intelligent, the production is kind of fresh and sounds good. Vocals are on point and she sounds great. Some of the songs are more calm, but why is that a problem. Very pleasant to listen to.

It's surprising because it's a really flawed album. Sure, there are some alright songs in there, but the majority are rehashed, boring drivel to say the least. I'm not a Katy hater before anyone starts, her previous work was pop gold. But this is some really pathetic songwriting and by no means worthy of a five star review.

As long as she leaves some space for The Queen to get at least one #1 song this era, she can have 1,000,000 #1 songs. :music:
