Thinking Of You is literally the best thing that Katy has ever done. The song, the video. It's so mature, so not Katy, but it's perfect.

E.T. is a really good video...can't say that much for the song, unfortunately. Waking Up In Vegas is great on both fronts, though, so I'll chose that one.

The (#) One That Got Away - It's a pretty perfect pop video. Simply beautiful.

Unconditionally - It's her attempt to make an artistic video. Falls a little bit short tho. But still good pretty visuals. Reminds me of Anna Karenina. I love the symbolism. You can pretty much connect it to her love life, fame or even joining the dark side (Think of Gaga's paparazzi performance).

Wide Awake - still I love the symbolism. Almsot the same as Uncle.

Katy Perry: 'I want to join the Illuminati'

Katy Perry has said she would like to join the Illuminati, admitting that she finds the idea of the mysterious cult exciting. Rumours that Perry is a member of the supposedly all-powerful cult began following her performance of ‘Dark Horse’ at the Grammys in January. News site Infowars claimed: “Illuminati priestess conducts witchcraft ceremony in front of the entire world.â€

Responding to the rumours, Perry told Rolling Stone: “If the Illuminati exist, I would like to be invited. I see all that **** and I’m like: ‘Come on, let me in! I want to be in the club.’â€

Perry admitted she had “no idea†what the Illuminati actually stand for or who they are, adding: “It sounds crazy. Weird people on the internet that have nothing to do find, like, strange triangles in your hand motions. I guess you’ve made it when they think you’re in the Illuminati. But I believe in aliens, so if people want to believe in Illuminati, great.â€

Here's the article from NME.

Hoping this stops all of the ridiculous claims online regarding the 'Illuminati' within the music industry in general. Everything's just imagery. Nothing more, nothing less. But if this conspiracy theory makes things more exciting for some, then let them be. I'm just happy someone like KP addressed it in a way that it should be.  :dies:

It's lamentable to read some being overly dismissive against KP's songwriting capabilities solely because of the preconceived notion that she's a mediocre vocalist and nothing but a mere money-making machine for the 'star' producers such as Dr. Luke and Max Martin - both arguments of which have really nothing to do with her as a songwriter nor valid enough to discredit her as such when she's behind the rather well-written songs like "Thinking Of You" and "I Do Not Hook Up", which was later given to Kelly Clarkson.

Most often than not, the criticisms directed against her are purely for the sake of criticising her. Her vocals may not be the strongest out there, and I do agree with that, but to belittle her songwriting as though it's the worst in the Mainstream Top 40 is crossing the line of blind and highly ignorant repugnance. Oh well.

This! I agree with this so much. Only on a gaga forum are there people like those you described, because many of the members here are biased obviously, jealous, and bitter.

Elsewhere (ATRL as just one example), there is no one majority favorite, there's a more equal distribution of fans and haters, and people are at least a bit more rational when it comes to katy perry--at least more than they are here.
