All those types of songs are literal and cheesy, but it seems like this specific line just gets the most hate. Because its eye rollingly awful Please explain. The comparison isn't directly to a plastic bag, the full line is, "Do you ever feel like a plastic bag drifting through the wind?" It really isn't "inelegant" in any way. Please explain. well there's a difference between preachy and tacky. there's not much appeal to opening a song with "do you ever feel like a plastic bag?" idk it just sounds like a joke.
