The fact it sold less is a reflection of her popularity not the market. What is may mean, is that some people who would have bought the album 3 years ago are now buying singles on itunes or streaming their music on services like Spotify. I do think part of decline is that UK hasn't been much excited by anything in music this year. Not like Gada's Fame, Rihanna's Loud, Adele's 21, Jessie J's debut, or Lana's debut. Bet most sales and pre-ordered was driven by expectation of how ear catchy Teenage Dream was. And Roar was made 1st single to ensure people how have this make believe mind that they were right.
