That's what I was unsure about  But I've seen a lot of people say that they enjoyed her music far more when she was making "dark" music because of how her (love) life was and people are afraid that, now that she's with Taylor, she might not make that kind of music anymore

"Dark" is so subjective though. Alejandro is a summery Latin inspired pop song but because of the video fans think of it as a "dark" song :flop: In my opinion her darkest song is Dope, in terms of the serious, depressing nature of the lyrics and the apologetic almost self deprecating emotion with which she sings it.

And you're right, because she is happier now she might not have any "pain" in her music the way there was pain in Bad Romance, Do What U Want, and Dope. But I think it's a horrible misconception that an artist can't create great work if they're not miserable. Gypsy and You and I are some of Gaga's greatest songs imo and they were written out of pure happiness.

I don't think she dislikes TFM, where did you see that?

I think she can and will do both, but what do you mean by "bops"? Chart dance hits? There is more to the world of music then that. She can do what she likes and creates what others like as well if that's what you are implying.

I am one of those people that subscribe to the belief that if an artist is happy and relaxed creatively they can accomplish amazing things, so I want her to make the type of music that has her passion and soul in it. If I don't like it, at least I can appreciate it based on it's merits.

As for Cheek to Cheek, she didn't "make" that music, she "performed" it. She helped craft the era with Tony, and most people (even Monsters) will agree it's darn near flawless. But musically she is saving up for her next solo endeavors, which could go in any direction at this point. I think she will create music on her next album that will please everyone; her fans, the public, the critics, and most importantly, I think she will walk away very proud at what she has accomplished.

I didn't say she disliked TFM, I said she was unhappy during TFM  The "dark" music that she has done probably comes from a place where she was unhappy, and that music is what most fans enjoy the most.

By "bops", I meant songs that fans enjoy the most, not necessarily chart dance hits, and that was confusing and that was my fault.

And yes, people, even monsters, will agree that it's near flawless, but MANY fans are very unhappy with the fact that she did this album, because it is not what they wanted. During the past months, we have been getting threads complaining about C2C very often. Some went to the extreme and wished Tony his death, which is disgusting, but there are people who like that. My point is that a lot of monsters disliked C2C and were very disappointed with the fact that she did that album

It's great that you can appreciate music that you don't necessarily enjoy, but a lot of the other monsters don't think the same way

Bette Davis

I'd like something in the middle. She knows how to write good lyrics and tunes but she needs help from good producers who turn them into smashes :legend:

Cold as ice cream, but still as sweet.

She was sad while writing TFM, but not because she didn't like the music...

Now y'all know you would rather have a track like Bad Romance any day opposed to Firefly... don't play games lol because most of y'all are the ones complaining about the C2C era lol.

Honestly, I'd want more dance-pop tracks.

ARTPOPchamp

Which one would you rather have: Gaga making the music she wants, Jazz perhaps, or (assuming that's what most people want) bops with RedOne?

Gaga has said in the past that she was unhappy when doing TFM; TFM is her most liked album.

Gaga has said that she is super happy doing C2C; C2C is her least liked album.

I know that some people like C2C and dislike TFM, but I'm talking about monsters in general.

I think this is pretty interesting since it's a dilemma for monsters who dislike C2C and bop to TFM; it's between the music we like, and Gaga's happiness and what she wants to do as an artist.

Comment and explain your point of view

By the way, I may be completely wrong about all of this and it's possible everything I've written is bull, don't drag me please :Chica:

Gaga has said she's been unhappy during the making of a lot of her albums. She's talked about how right now, she's happier than she's ever been and that's she's happy for the first time in a long time. I don't recall Gaga saying she was unhappy during making The Fame Monster, but she did say she wasn't happy with the pressure during Born This Way and she was even unhappier during making ARTPOP. She said Cheek to Cheek has brought her the happiness she felt when she first broke into pop with The Fame. I think during the times of her unhappiness, she means she was unhappy for different reasons but with ARTPOP it really became an unhappiness with the industry and expectations of her, I think previously when she said unhappy, she meant lonely, misunderstood, hopeless in a sense. Not all of Lady Gaga's unhappiness is directly related to the music she is creating. I think a lot of the unhappiness stems from the expectation so many have of Gaga being someone she isn't or trying to turn her into someone or something she doesn't want to be. And from how she feels a lot of people have been using her and it being about more than the music and her work.

Bad Bromance

Of course I want our Gaga to do whatever she wants.  She is most creative when she has artistic freedom and the results are simply amazing!

I have a feeling what @LoveandMagic stated is what's going to happen with her next album.  It's going to be praised by critics, the GP, Little Monsters and even her haters may convert.  Well, one can only hope that she will convert haters.   :hehe:

Now, what if this doesn't happen and her next album isn't praised by critics or the GP?  I don't fvcking care.  I'm here for Gaga's talent, not her critical acclaim.  As long as I love the music, like I did with ARTPOP, I could care less if the entire world hated her new sound.

I don't care what you think about unless it is about me.
