Knox’s suicide was first announced last night by his friend and fellow performer Nick Cross, who shared series of tweets asking his followers to “cherish [their] lives.” P0rnStar @KnoxRylan Hung Himself Today at his boyfriends apartment! As of post time, no other details were available. Many of Knox’s colleagues, including Colt Rivers, Boomer Banks, and Ryan Rose (who just appeared in last month’s Poolside with Knox), took to social media to offer their condolences as the news spread. Knox, a relative newcomer who had performed in multiple scenes for Falcon, GayCastings, NakedSword, and Hot House in the past year, called Florida his home and was extremely well-liked among fans, directors, and co-stars. Well.. you could look at it from different angles. The entire mourning process could be seen as egoistical too since this person's troubles are now over, wherever he is, or if he is anywhere at all. Instead of being thankful for all the lovely memories, people (incl. me, make no mistake) often choose sadness and grief because they miss people who are now dead. Perfectly egoistical as well.Of course that's stretching it, I know, but I just am not a fan of "suicidal people are egoistic" arguments. I'm quite convinced that when you get in a state like that, the desire to just step out is stronger than any possible empathy you have towards the people you love. And that must be terrible.
