Serendipity 7,821 Posted June 4, 2015 Share Posted June 4, 2015 WHITNEY HOUSTON's movie career is to be commemorated with a special retrospective at a film festival in Italy next month (Jul15). The superstar singer is to be remembered at the Ischia Global Film and Music Festival with a screening of Angela Bassett's biopic Whitney, which will be shown on the eve of the event's opening on 12 July (15). A number of Houston's movie projects will then be screened throughout the festival as part of a retrospective, including The Bodyguard, Waiting to Exhale, The Preacher's Wife and Sparkle. The festival's honorary chair Mark Canton says, "Her voice, her music, her mere presence on the air or on the screen made Whitney Houston an icon of the ages. She is missed. Her talent lives on, not only at Ischia but throughout the world as well." The Ischia Global Film and Music Festival runs from 12-19 July (15). I've only seen The Bodyguard and Waiting to Exhale, but she was good in both. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
