They've become a match made in musical heaven since they got together at a BRIT Awards afterparty earlier this year.

And it would seem hot couple Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris have their mutual friend, Ellie Goulding, to thank for their romance.  

The 28-year-old Burn singer admitted she was the one who set up the pop princess, 25, and the Scottish DJ, 31, and encouraged the pair to go on a date.

 

Admitting she couldn't help but play cupid when she noticed a spark between the pair, Ellie told The Sun: 'I did play matchmaker, that's true.'

 

However, the British pop star might have matched the couple in a slightly unconventional way - stating she thought they were a good match because they're both tall. 

Ellie added: 'Calvin is a really great mate and he's so fantastic, and Taylor is such a cool person who I love. I thought. "They're both really awesome and both really tall, they'll brilliant together".'
