Oscar 1,031
@Haroon had the best post on this thread. I don't feel like searching for it but it was in regards to fighting fire with fire or something.
ItsTommyBitch 12,640
...I think the extremist SJW are helping in a way as well because at the root of their attacks they have a point and it generates attention so if people look past the messy attitude they'll see that there's a good point there It's not the best method at all for achieving what they want, but it's better than nothing at all. It's 2 steps forward and 1 step back really Slay Haroon I'd also like to point out that people who see that #CaitlynJenner and #DrakeBell are trending on facebook and twitter (platforms with hundreds of millions of users) are NOT SJWs just "searching for things to get offended over". Rather, they are just ordinary people with opinions and they have the right to voice them. Germagaga was entirely right too. In a better world, progress and change would be gained through polite, silent protest, but tbqmfh these only work when the oppressors or the majority group actually CARE about these things and are not finding every excuse in the book to defend their ignorant beliefs The narrative of people who HAVE social power and do not face persecution for something as intrinsic as one's identity is not the narrative we should follow, but the one of those who DO face these things. This isn't bullying, these are the shouts of those who feel the subject isn't one that you can remain quiet about. It is people holding Drake Bell, and by extension society to a higher standard. That's whats necessary to battle prejudice and discrimination; conversation. Fortunately, conversation can be started by both the genuine and not These are the kind of things that NEED to be happening. Strong convictions and strong beliefs can produce real progress 私自身もこの世の中も誰もかれもが, どんなに華やかな人生でも, どんなに悲惨な人生でも, いつかは変貌し, 破壊され、消滅してしまう. すべてがもともとこの世に存在しない一瞬の幻想なのだから

Do you just shut down any discussion about other people because it's simply "too SJW" for you? Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

ryhanna 3,507
don't get me wrong hes an idiot, but I feel like its not even worth discussing what he has to sayWell, I think it kinda is worth discussing, though. Drake's tweet embodies the attitude of a large portion of our society. He's not the only one in the world thinking these kinds of things in regards to Bruce Jenner's transition into Caitlyn. I get what you're saying, and I agree that attacking anything that doesn't fit the typical standards of SJW's isn't the best route to take, but the kind of attitude Drake displays towards trans people is something we all need to reflect on, because it's an incredibly prevalent attitude, and that needs to change. This is true, I just hope we are trying to change people's minds we know in real life like friends and families instead of just yelling at a has been celebrity looking for attention then giving it to him. LoveandMagic 1,731
Well, he is entitled to his opinion, even though I feel he is being disrespectful. Hopefully by deleting it so quickly he changed his mind. Let's pay him no mind and continue to shower Caitlyn with our support for the difficult transition she is making, and equally show our support for others going through the same. Just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."
