I'm happy for Ukraine ;)

I would have loved to see Australia win tbh! But Ukraine was really great too!

I wish Switzerland will be in the finals next year :)

Same-sex acitivity is legal as is transition, but same-sex marriage is constitutionally banned.

That sucks. :noparty:

But they don't have the anti gay propaganda laws, right?

If you're curious about LGBT laws in Ukraine...

"Noncommercial, same-sex sexual activity between consenting adults in private is legal in Ukraine, but prevailing social attitudes are often described as being intolerant of LGBT people"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LGBT_rights_in_Ukraine

It's legal but we're so homophobic in Eastern Europe :toofunny:

i think its ALL of the public votes (from 46? coutnries) in one bundle

russia and ukraine were clearly much popular than the others

I think I get it now.

I'm stil skeptical with this new system, it definitely needs to be balanced or just take the judges off because they currently have no power anymore.

Yeah there was such a difference between public and jury votes, but funnilly enough this happened to Poland before in the first year they brought the jury back (with the milk churning ladies)

Let have Eurovision it's impact and make Eastern Europe more gay friendly :gaycat:.

But tbh, I think I'm going to miss the openness of the contest from 2013-2016 next year.
