So which is better? First or second half?

 

If the race were to be between Russia and Ukraine it would be so so exciting. On the other hand the songs shouldn't be so politically motivated. An anti-Soviet song is okay since the USSR doesn't exist anymore, but the timing is weird, making it seem like some kind of nationalist outcry. Bulgaria's song is a little bit too political too, and so was Måns' statement. You don't want to isolate Russia, Azerbaijan, etc. Just subtly show the population how it's done in the wealthy parts of Europe, and they'll follow suit slowly but surely. Else you'll get a situation like with Turkey, that stopped broadcasting it for obvious reasons (because of the gayness of it all), making the population more isolated. Can't say I miss Turkey in Eurovision though. I puke every time I see a Turkish flag these days.

I don't think anyone of them is better than the other. As long as you have the right song and show it doesn't matter.

Although, statistically songs in the second half have been more successful but the last two winners was in the first half.
