The world loved FierceGa

Well of course it's not going to apply to jazz music or The Sound of Music, but if Gaga were to make dance/electronic or pop music for LG6 (I mean RedOne is producing right?), I really hope she puts on some bad ass, I-don't-give-a-fck attitude. She was so fierce and untouchable in 2009, it's like she didn't give a fck of what people thought of her. Her music was fearless, catchy, dark, s-xy, glamorous and dirty. She was like the pop star of sin (in a good way), a strong and invulnerable pop star. She was so confident and her attitude was like no other pop girl could beat her, like she intended and had the ambition to beat everyone not just pop girls but also established male artists out of the competition and dominate the music industry. Where's this attitude gone to?She was like a star who came from another planet, she introduced music and entertainment in an ecstatic way that no one has ever experienced before. She didn't just have gays as her fans but the whole world was stanning for her, even straight male guys who are into heavy metal thought she was cool and fearless. Can we please have this Gaga back? Less smiling, more slaying. My father actually praised her mysterious look and image and he told me that he noticed Gaga liked to wear a lot of masks, glasses, captain caps to cover her eyes. I didn't know that was part of Gaga's strategy in developing her image until my father told me though. She's so different now.

True. I didn't care for Do What U Want for that very reason. She lost that I don't give a f*ck attitude. I like when Gaga shows a vulnerability in her music but Do What U Want was just a step back for Gaga and the Gaga we knew who didn't give a f*ck. She never would acknowledge the haters before, but with Do What U Want, she started acknowledging them and showing she cares enough about their opinion to write a song about it. It's tough not to say anything when you're someone like Gaga getting hate and so much negativity, but if possible, she should try to refrain from singing about it.

You're referring to her as some sort of a machine. :smh:

Nothing abnormal happened to her, she's still as passionate, but in different departments. People change.

I think some of her ambition went away because of exhaustion, she always had to be on and had to roll out hit after hit, in such a small amount of time, since she's taking time off now though, that ambition is probably coming back. She kind of talked about being mentally exhausted around the time Cheek to Cheek came out, how she was fed up with pop music, etc, she lost that ambition.

Have you seen Swinefest, by any chance? artRave? Cheek to Cheek: Live? Yeah, she is still as captivating and fierce a stage performer as ever, perhaps even more so now with improved vocals. Her off-stage attitude has softened a bit because, well, she has matured and gained a shot of humility.

The "world" loved her because not only was the music radio-friendly and catchy, but because the image was palatable. As we went into Born This Way, portions of her fanbase and the GP left for the best possible reason: she committed to her vision 100%, and didn't compromise who she really was for the sake of a larger audience.

Also...

Her music was fearless, catchy, dark, s-xy, glamorous and dirty.

as far as I can tell, this has remained the case, I'd argue even more fearless than before.

Also, someone at the record label said, right now it's important that Lady Gaga show both sides of herself, she was portrayed as an invulnerable singing machine before but now she needs to show the human side of her - according to the label. It was recently after the Oscar performance, I forget who but someone at the label talked about it. I think its a foolish idea to be totally honest.

I don't think you get my point. There were many kinds of fierceness that she had pulled before and I'm talking about The Fame fierce that Swinefest and artRAVE never succeeded in achieving.

Has it occurred to you that the Gaga we met in 2009 was an act to begin with, and that she is happier showing her vulnerability?

Nonetheless, I will say that her performances of "Swine" (iTunes and SxSW) alone are infinitely more raw and fierce than just about anything she did in her debut era. There is tremendous strength in exposing that side of yourself, a fire-bra and articulate posing is not necessarily required.

Eh, people perceive that she's become a "niche" artist in terms of demographic, when imo I think that's false- she's only become "niche" through imposed public perception.

Though I agree she has definitely changed, and that I do miss the mystery- life happens.

3 points in and ready for more

The attitude went away because she did accomplish all of that, and she quickly became overworked and burnt out while her whole career and life became mismanaged. Now that she's been through the worst of it and gotten her **** together in both her personal and professional life, plus the fact that she's taking time off for the first time since she started, I see no reason why she won't come back fiercer than ever next era. They say you have to go through hell to be resurrected.

I dont think anybody that became fans during btw and ARTPOP era will ever understand your point lol I mean they're calling gagas music from The Fame "Radio friendly" when it really wasn't :smh: It just goes to show that they weren't fans during the fame era.

You know what "fierce" was?  Putting it all on the line to support human rights for her fans.  Too bad many of those fans preferred a mysterious alien who acted above everyone else.
