The “Ghosttown” singer stirred up controversy over the weekend when she posted this steamy photo to her Instagram page. It depicts a Jewish man and a Muslim man about to engage in a passionate lip lock. Naturally, Madge captioned the photo with the hashtag #rebelhearts, a plug for her latest album.

 

As expected, the photo garnered all sorts of comments, with some people supporting the photo and others condemning it.

“I see two men one Muslim perhaps and one Jewish together sharing a moment of peace,” one person wrote. “Can’t we just all get along without discussing religious beliefs?”

Someone else added: “I don’t understand all the ppl here say it’s not possible I’m Jewish from Israel my boyfriend is Arab Muslim and we live together for 3 years now!”

“U think cuz u put a gay Israeli n a gay Palestinian together makes it ok to perform in Israel,” another person wrote.

It's kinda surprising in a sad way that something as simple and nice as 2 different religion/culture/race being together like this actually causes controversy  Then again it's going towards being homoerotic plus with 2 groups that don't get along via history so people were bound to be like " ".

Some religions are just more sensitive when it comes to gays than others, I don't know why anyone would be surprised this would get controversy *shrugs*

I think it's cute but I knew it would get some negativity.
