Will the respect for Gaga wear off?

The respect for her as an extremely talented singer-songwriter may not easily be deprived of since such trait is so rare to find among the staples of mainstream entertainment all these years. That rarity makes her status even more special, and it would only be unproductive, if not unwise, to not recognise the talent which Gaga can genuinely offer in the form of admiration, at least for her talent.

Now, whether the overall respect she currently enjoys after the Oscars performance would weaken or grow depends on what she'd do in the coming months or even years. A heinous doing or statement would destroy any respectable image she has, like in the case of everyone, but continuing and improving the things she does best would surely make the respect for her grow into immeasurable heights. And I'm confident she'd be able to do the latter. Why? Because she's simply giving me no reason whatsoever to even think of why she would go for the former. Gaga's not just incredibly smart, but she's also a genuine sweetheart who actually does care about the betterment of this world, as proved countless times.
