Jed 7,716
I can see this being the case, but I want to see the documentary soI hope that you get the chance to it's a really well done film... Very upsetting (in a good, "call to action" kind of way).
Didymus 34,379
doesn't ensure more monsters will see it but makes them more inclined to hear it in it's highest quality. I mean if I had the full quality on my computer I can't say I'd be as interested in taking a couple hours out of my day to see the film More just talking from my own perspective but I know I can't be the only one who feels that way. That's true, I see that. I guess I'm speaking/thinking more from a non-U.S. Monster perspective. It literally doesn't matter to us either way since we have no ability to hear it in HQ anywhere at all at this point. But for U.S. Monsters I do think you're right. The producer admitted Gaga was only hired for publicity anyway.
Desperado 2,439
Gaga and her team didnt want it out? and maybe the movie people didnt want it
Zilla 13,384
Nah no matter how moving the movie is, most stans only want the song :/ 𝙸'𝚖 𝚊 𝚓𝚘𝚛𝚝𝚜 𝚊𝚗𝚍 𝚓𝚎𝚕𝚕𝚢 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚎𝚜 𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚍 𝚘𝚏 𝚐𝚒𝚛𝚕.
PartySick 160,321
We're not getting it. This is another The Greatest Thing case. Cher aka Dianne will keep hyping it, but Gaga aka Gaga will delay it & inevitably cancel it. This is how she is, she moves on fast & tries to focus on future things. I don't blame her; I mean - she's about to film one of the most viewed primetime television shows, start a new album cycle & get married. Holy hell. Don't break another hip sister.Yeah but we didn't get The Greatest Thing because Gaga didn't get to work person to person with Cher. She and Dianne were in the same room and wrote/produced the song together. Not saying we'll get it, but if we don't it's for a different reason. Billionaires are a cancer. Even the ones you like. Jed 7,716
Nah no matter how moving the movie is, most stans only want the song :/ Unfortunately you're right. But by delaying the release of the official song you can even maybe get those stans to see the documentary (I hope, anyway). That's true, I see that. It warms my heart that Gaga put so much time and energy into a project like this even though she new some fans might be upset/she didn't receive a lot of money from it... Really exemplifies "music/social issues not the bling." I have faith that once the DVD is available for purchase some U.S. monsters will rip it and make it available for everyone
Weasel 12,525
Nah no matter how moving the movie is, most stans only want the song :/ And so what exactly? I get kind of annoyed with people dragging others for ''just'' wanting the song. As if the makers included Gaga for her message, they just wanted publicity. And it worked. Now they might as well give us that damn song after milking it to the max.

She probably was already thinking about the fans and decided to not hype us at all. She didn't exactly promote the movie either. That might still come when the song's released of course (though the delay is kinda confusing because why would she promote a song for a documentary that's already been out for months and possibly isn't even in theatres anymore) but I'm happy she was tactful about it. Gaga is gonna be tactful about everything from now on, I believe.. ARTPOP/Troy fiasco really whipped her into tip top shape and thank goodness for that
Whispering 18,865
Nah no matter how moving the movie is, most stans only want the song :/ I want to see the documentary more than I want the song, no kidding! I do love that Gaga added to this important and worthwhile project, though. I hope this documentary will change the way universities treat reports and victims of rape. Like instead of acknolwedging the issue they themselves are burying the facts down even further

Unlike police brutality, that people are now filming and bringing out in the shadows, rape on college campuses will continue to be kept in the shadows. It's a crime against a minority that is pushed aside and not taken seriously.
Nicole 1,809
It is actually disappointing that the documentary has been overshadowed by the song. I couldn't give two ****s about the song after reading about the doco and more inclined to see it because of the nature of the film rather than one song. Honestly, some people need to set their priorities. I'd rather gaga not release the song officially at all and just let it be a nice contribution to the film than use it to quench her fan's thirst for new music. While I agree it is obvious as **** that they just used Gaga and the song to milk that whole documentary. I'm pretty sure Diane tweeted at least 100 times about the song for the past 2 months.
